ATTENTION BUNGIE: The fact that a negative post like this is getting such positive attention on the fan forum site shows a lot about the state of the game. Understand this: we are unhappy and you're losing players. #MakeDestinyGreatAgain
I think I'm done with Destiny.... Not completely, but I find myself hardly ever playing anymore. I'm more interested in finding something better to play. Been on some Rocket League and Sunset Overdrive lately.
The game is just so boring now. There's nothing I want to do. I'll get on for some PvP now and then, but PvE is where my heart lies, and it's all garbage ever since TTK dropped.
Nightfalls are an absolute joke.
Remember what nightfalls used to be? Omnigul with arc burn, angry, and lightswitch. Triple burn Devils lair. That shit was so much fun. And wayyyy more intense with the danger of getting kicked to orbit. And since 3oC didn't exist, it was one of the only reliable ways to get exotics. Now it's just a glorified heroic strike at best.
Kings Fall is blah
Idk what it is.... Technically the raid is well made, especially compared to Crotas End. But there's just something undesirable about it to me. Maybe it's the fact that it's literally the same mechanic over and over and over, or maybe it's the fact that the gear is utter garbage, or maybe it's the fact that it's easy, yet the mechanics prevent you from undermanning the entire raid, or maybe it's the fact that ads don't even play a factor in the raid, or maybe it's a combination of these things. Either way, I don't care about running KF, ever. I still run VoG for fun.
New PoE is an embarrassment
I know most people didn't care for PoE in Y1, but I loved it. It was so intense! It was the most fun solo activity (my greatest achievement was soloing Qodron), and held the most well made and most challenging boss battle in Skolas. I was soooo excited for CoE. What a -blam!-ing joke. 3 rounds. No objectives during boss battles. The point system is not difficult or dynamic whatsoever. Easy as hell modifiers. I soloed the entirety of CoE at 309 light for crying out loud, with a score of 37k. Haven't completed an elder sigil since week 1 because the activity is too boring.
End game loot could not be worse
What the hell happened to the end game loot? Remember Fatebringer and VoC and oversoul edict and black hammer and HoC and corrective measure? And, oh yeah, FCKING GJALLARHORN. God damn the end game gear was soooooo desirable!! Yes it was a bit OP in PvE content, but God dammit, it's END GAME! You should feel a bit OP. Now, the raid gear has random rolls, so they don't feel iconic anymore. Sure Atheon's Epilogue was awful (IMO), but at least it was unique because of the static perks! Now the raid gear is just more random legendaries with randomized perks that may or may not be good.
The best weapons are literally obtained from the gunsmith for 2500 glimmer and waiting for a good roll, or by just going to the vendor. And even those leave something to be desired. Exotics don't even feel like end game anymore, because most of them have been nerfed, and with 3oC, they drop like candy. Nothing is special. Everyone has everything.
Everything about the game is a slap in the face
Seriously. This just becomes more obvious the more I play.
•SBMM
• invisible walls to prevent exploring
• low currency caps
• PvP nerfs that affect PvE
• microtransactions
• Lazy content rehashed updates
• Cringeworthy storyline and dialogue
• Nerfs to popular but balanced weapons to force grinding for new gear
• Irrelevant content
• The special ammo nerf
• No dedicated servers
• Predetermined PvP match victors
I could go on, but I won't. The point is, with each update, I feel more and more forced to play their way instead of my way. Content is constantly being dumbed down. Nothing is challenging, nothing is OP, it's all just bland now. It's just a grind fest, and now there's nothing good to grind for. Most of you will call me a loser for bitching, but that's ok. Some will sympathize with me. I'll stick around on the forums because I like it, but I just don't like destiny anymore.
The sad part is, I wish I wasn't done with Destiny. I still want to play the game that it used to be. I just feel like they taking it away bit by bit.
Edit: Holy shit there's a lot of replies. Definitely didn't expect this. Sorry if I don't reply to you, I'm trying to reply to as many as I can, but I can't keep up!

Editado por Gaheris: 5/19/2016 2:02:50 PMI agree with all of your points. Especially on the state of Nightfalls and the 3oC debate. Nightfalls were great for 3 reasons. 1) It was challenging because of the back to orbit mechanic if everyone died. So it was fun. 2) The rewards, one of the main source for exotics made irrelevant by 3oC. 3) The rep buff and cool looking blue flames. Also you're right when mentioning the state of the weapons. There's nothing to chase for or dream for anymore. Every exotic weapons got nerfed to hell and some are just glorified legendaries, often worse. They want us to become Legend but give us nothing to feel like it anymore. It's just sad.

I barely play. This morning, my kid woke me up very early, so I figured what the hell. It was okay at best. During the day, I'd honestly rather sweep and do dishes at this point. Also, Mega Man.
-
I completely agree with you but, maybe I just don't play as much as everyone else because I'm not feeling burnt out at all. My highest light level is 334 and I'm just starting my warlock. So hopefully you guys found other games to enjoy as much as you enjoyed this one. One more thing I'm super hyped for far harbor today!

Kings fall just doesn't have the pzazz that vault has and it seems all dirty and ugly

2 Respuestas19 more doubles wins and I will have max grimoire.... Don't even feel like grinding them. :(
-
Editado por Gaheris: 5/19/2016 1:42:36 PMThere are 3 problems with the game atm imo. 1) Max light level is too easy to achieve. It's night and day compared to TTK. Before it was too hard, now it's too easy. Not as easy as in HoW, but still a bit too easy and people got bored of the April update pretty fast because of that. Because let's be real, max level is what motivates most people to play the game. Solution : keep the light system as it is but make it so you can only get gear 2-3 light level higher than you current light level instead of 3-5. It would encourage people to play more without discouraging them. 2) The lack of any new real content. Let's face it for anyone who played HoW PoE doesn't feel any new whatever are the new mechanics introduced. Bungie didn't even bother to introduce one new arena or one new boss as challenging as Skolas was. 3) The fact that light level 335 is absolutely pointless to reach. You could argue that in TTK light level mattered to an extent in King's Fall but what about now? I beat the challenge of elders the first day it came out with a light level under 320 fairly easily. PoE is way too easy and King's Fall didn't get a difficulty upgrade. The content atm is just way too easy to beat and thus, you guess it, boring. A solution to this would be to be able to unlock an activity or specific quest only at light level 335 that would give you let's say an exotic weapon or armor, or specific shaders or emotes and what not. I still play the game but all I do now is PvP and grind packages for God roll weapons. But the less people play the less crucible gets enjoyable because games tends to last longer to matchmake and SBMM becomes the first criteria when that happens. The fun thing is I just got Uncharted 4 but didn't even touch it yet. I'm still addicted to Destiny for some reason...

2 RespuestasAnd this is why I can't wait to play Overwatch. You won't have to worry about grinding or an RNG-to-win system, none of that time consuming bullshit. You just launch the game and play! It'll be much more enjoyable and fun knowing that nobody has an advantage over me because of their lucky RNG. It'll be nice to play a game that doesn't require you to play everyday and every reset just to keep up competitively with the jobless no-lifes. Oh, and you want to know the best part? It's balanced.

Anyone getting for honor?

I know most of my friends are burned out on it. They are probably waiting for the next round of "updated" or "new" (***reskinned ahem.. cough***) content. I still play but I mostly do little bs farming activities that burn the time and do not really get you anywhere in terms of progression. Also, since the taken king came out, I have slowly drifted away from pvp more and more and the only times I have played pvp recently has been during iron banner at the end of march and april. I never thought that I would ever refocus of pve but pvp is just too inconsistent now. I'm feeling some burnout too but I can't get into anything new until I buy an external hard drive. Also, you make lots of fair points in your post so my recommendation to you is that you do exactly what you feel like doing. Sometimes it is important to take a break from something.

Editado por deƒault: 5/19/2016 1:21:24 PMI really like Destiny, I just got back into The Witcher 3 since finding out about the new DLC releasing soon.
-
While my play had dropped a lot and it was getting stale, I will admit the new update has got me back a bunch leveling 3 characters! And the much improved progression has helped me now I can work toward a goal that will work with faction rep, because when game being stale and totally up to rng became a chore! But now I have a goal I can reasonable work for in a timely fashion, I log on play 30min or so and progress so it's kept me playing.

I like many play for the social aspect. Shoot stuff while chatting with your mates. Bungie has been nerfing all the fun out of the game. Let's just hope the next release is for the fans and doesn't suffer the same fate as COD! Content is about as much fun as doing shots with the traveller!

I've been playing both sonic adventures! Such classics, I wish there was a third and not trash games they make these days
-
If it wasn't for my friends and clan, I would not be playing much Destiny at all.

6 RespuestasEditado por Psyggie: 5/19/2016 7:21:32 AMJust take a break. I bet they are neglecting this game so much in order to make a massive Destiny 2.
I can hope
-
I'm in a similar boat. I'm playing it around half as much as I used to and that's only because: I'm on Xbox 360 with nothing else to do My mates play it That's about it really
-
1 RespuestaI only get on for trials now. :(
-
Just pop in for iron banner and see what I get on a Tuesday via the sterling packages, don't bother with the poe one though.
-
I find myself less and less engaged. I left after TDB and came back around February of this year, after playing that abysmal PoS Division Alpha/Beta. I do enjoy running CoE each week on my characters, but that's about it. I find myself chasing loot more than anything. I downloaded Sunset Overdrive in an attempt to take a break and, even for the price of $0, that game is utter trash.
-
I was a day one player that took a break from August to February once I learned ttk was 40$ and all yr1 stuff was gone. My friend convinced me to buy ttk in February. I had fun for about a month and then got bored. It was then I realized most people had this content gap since September. The April update is just reskined yr1 stuff meant to gain more money through sterling treasure microtransactions. Saddens me since this game had so much potential.
-
I kinda felt same, little over month ago, i bought pc and started playing guildwars2 + i play rainbowsix siege, bf4, broforce on ps4 sometimes, destiny is just getting worse on every update and it doesnt feel same anymore :/ but i still play destiny once a week when i feel like it
-
Agreed. The uodate was fun but I have 2 335s. I've been playing Yugioh, MTG and Darksouls 3 recently. I needed to break my addiction because it was hours and hours. I have 61 days on Xbox one let alone last I checked. But no worries Bungie, still a fan but I'll wait until the next expansion. Idc about 20 dolla. Just give us some "fresh" new content. POE was fun. I just got my last desolate armor piece yesterday for my sterling package for the week. I agree with all you state. And you have valid reason to say that. You aren't whining or complaining your reaching out to them in hopes they listen *cough* I might stop in for Crimson doubles though. Waiting for SRL

Sbmm + p2p has made it impossible to play with my friends. Most of them are Australian, so if we try to trials or even general crucible at least 3 of us will suffer crippling lag. Sbmm is literally making it hard to be social. Which I thought was the point of destiny...
-
A--blam!-ing-men. Every nail right on the head my friend. Nothing more to say about it, Bungie needs to step up their game so it's less like a Halo-skinned CoD and more like... well.. Destiny.
-
2 RespuestasSBMM has done it for me especially trials, I have a positive kd 30 flawless and sit around 1500 elo but since the update it has drove me crazy I always seem to get to 7 wins then come up against teams with 2 kd's and 1800 Elo and never end up going flawless. I got to 7 wins on banner fall with using only mercy then lost 4 times in a row, after that I said bye bye destiny and hello the division again.
