It might just be that it has clunky mechanics like its predecessors. I can't say for sure as I don't have Uncharted 4 and don't plan on getting it any time soon, but what turned me away from the older titles was how bad it felt to play.
It's why most people i know only ever played Mass Effect 1 once. A game NEEDS a good Core Gameplay Loop with the most solid mechanics. It's why games like Killing Floor, Doom 2 and Dark Souls keep their players for 5, sometimes 24 years. Without a good CGL, your game will simply be a one play through wonder or just plain I enjoyable to play.
That and it runs at 30 fps.

Glad somebody gets it, gameplay is always the most important factor. Uncharted is overrated. People said The Order 1886 had great graphics, a good story, but it was hammered by critic's because of its gameplay. Uncharted series gets a pass, even though its gameplay is just as bad. Different standards, depending on the development team, popularity of franchise. Gaming journalism 101...

Well, the two are still vastly different. The Order: 1886(seconds) was mostly slammed for its terrible everything that wasn't graphics. The game was short for its price, played like a movie rather than a game and combat had terrible AI and no werewolves. Uncharted 1-3 at least has parkour, exploration and a relatively good story that was told without being obnoxiously like a movie. Its predecessors are naturally better than The Order:1886(seconds), it wouldn't be hard for the latest title to out do it.

Fortunately, Naughty Dog has done an amazing job overhauling the gunplay and gameplay mechanics for Uncharted 4. Jumping, shooting while hanging from ledges or your rope, the grapple hook, and sliding all feel silky-smooth and the movements naturally flow from one to the next. Plus, the gunplay is the most satisfying yet.

Oh, so they fixed it. Might actually try it then. After the Zen release at least.

Unless you have something against grappling to a ledge, jumping off your rope, and giving an enemy a massive sucker punch to the face, it's definitely worth a shot.

Nah, but I was just concerned cause the basic combat gameplay felt absolutely horrible in the Uncharted Collection and I was afraid ND had no idea how to do shootings in a game.

Nope it's still awful, left a mini review in Andywally91's thread.
