The feeling of being hugged by someone you feel genuine affection for. This is not something I have been able to experience often

It's that time between winter and summer that's not exactly spring... There's still that sharp chill wit the wind, where you can wear your sweater and feel nice, but it's not cold or warm enough to require a jacket or shorts, but you can choose somewhere in between. This part also exists in fall, with essentially identical conditions. Imagine that season. Now, it's a fair day, not too hot or cold. You're sitting on a grassy hill, surrounded by trees. This hill is a rather tall hill, but the trees around you don't grow on the slope of the hill, only around the base. Behind you is an oak tree, and that is what you're resting your back on. You close your eyes, relaxed, when you hear a soft rushing of wind through the trees, and a calm yet sharp breeze cuts through the area. Yo still have your eyes closed, sitting in the shade of the oak tree, embracing the gentle sunlight and the crisp breeze. You take a deep breath through your nose and are greeted with a smell that reminds you of taking a bite out of a chilled, crunchy apple. You open your eyes, and look up at the sky. There are some clouds, but not the thin wisps of a cirrus cloud or the startling black storm heads. The clouds are as if somebody took some freshly made, light whipped cream and scooped some out onto a cookie pan. Soft, tall, fluffy yet not too lumpy. The edges of the clouds are well defined, and one of them has crossed in front of the sun. A soft shadow comes across the area, and the coolness it brings contrasts the warmth of the sun. It is not a devastating chill, but a relaxing chill, the feeling one gets when they lay down on a freshly made bed with cool sheets. That feels pretty good, no? Even if you haven't experienced this before, you may at least have a semblance of an idea of what it does feel like. Have a good rest of your day!

That moment on a hot sunny day when both a cloud comes in overhead and a breeze blows into your face. When you settle into bed and not a single thing (pillows, sheets, blankets, bed partners, etc.) needs moving or rearrangement. Walking or driving around and you smell any of the following; baking bread, freshly cut grass, the mix of wood or charcoal smoke along with beef on hot iron, or orange blossoms. Being nuzzled where someone or something you love pushes and buries their face/head into your chest, side, hand, shoulder or neck. It can be a beloved person, a pet, or an animal you just met. The wagging of a dog's tail when you get home and no matter how long it's been, they act like you've been gone for ages. Sharing a knowing smile with someone who you know so well that the smile and expression on both of your faces conveys volumes of mutual understanding and not a single word is required.

Taking off a bra after a long day. Fresh bedsheets after a bath/shower. Taking socks off after a long day.
