Sony Vegas seems to be a good choice for editing purposes. Also, generally avoid super usage footage unless it is A: You getting a really impressive medal (I'm talking seventh column good) because montages with supers are a dime a dozen B.) Part of a truly exceptional chain of kills. Also things you generally want to avoid: Dub\Wub\Trap\House\Porn\GhettoStep music. It will kill any sense of originality that your montage may have. The Destiny soundtrack has great tracks on it try some of those. Tons of lens flare and effects. If your montage is as good as I believe it will be then your efforts should stand on their own with minimal editing needed. Additionally: Keep it quick (Try to avoid long form montages) people have short attention spans, you want to hit fast and hard and leave an impression. Try to keep map cycling to a minimum. It drags the montage down when you have five clips on the same map.
