Touch of malice
I have done a dim form and I have 45 calcified fragments but it won't let me get the rest of the quest

Hello Im_Exoduss, For the next part of the quest you need 45 Calcified Fragments on that Guardian. Some websites and apps track Calcified Fragments account wide, and if you picked of one on a second Guardian it will be inaccurate as to how many one Guardian has. You can check to find out what ones you still need on your Bungie.net account, select My Legend > Progress and scroll down to the bottom of the page to find out which ones you are missing. Your Hunter has 44 Calcified Fragments.
