Not A Very Jolly Holliday
This quest is simply not possible in today's crucible. Mostly due to the Last Word's stats don't stand a chance against a Hawkmoon that hits for 100+ damage, let alone all the other big spot lighted guns right now in the Crucible!

Equip it on a gunslinger and play some mayhem. Will go fast.

I have an easy strategy for you. I suck at PvP, and i was able to finish in half an hour. Go into mayhem clash, withoul TLW equiped, and wait for your super to charge. On hunter, use bladedancer, titan use hammer, and warlock us stormtrance. Put on TLW, activate your super, and get as many kills as you can. When your super is done, unequip TLW and repeat! There! Done in a half hour!

1 RespuestaKeys in this quest: - You only have to equip TLW and get kills while it is equipped for progress - Unequipping TLW will save your progress, you can only lose progress when dying whilst having TLW equipped - Killstreaks are your friend. Rack up 4 kills, then equip TLW and use your super or heavy. The quest isn't too bad if you know the aspects of this quest.

Only Equip it when you have your Super, use said Super, and then unequip it. Rinse and repeat. Takes a while but it works.

Best thing to do is get a friend to boost with. Not ideal and not the way it was intended to be done but it's an option. I grinded for mine but it took like 7 hours

1 RespuestaI am also terrible at pvp. I did the Last Word part about a week ago after sitting on this quest for months thinking I would never complete it, especially after the nerf in the last update. Turns out I was able to complete this part in about 24 hrs of dedicated pvp play. Here's how I did it: 1. I NEVER equipped the Last Word during the match at all until the very end. Only if it was certain that we were going to win, when Shaxx would say "one final push to victory," only then would I equip it. 2. Once equipped, I would activate my super (storm trance) in the final moments and try to get a kill spree with Last Word equipped. In this way, I would get at least 3% for the win and often up to 7% with the super kills and the win per winning match. Because I lost as many matches as I won, I could only use this method 50% of the time, but it was a guaranteed positive net method. Others have also equipped Last Word in the middle of the match during heavy round or whenever their supers presented, which could further accelerate the process, but I didn't do that. You can do it. I use my primaries quite a lot for kills and am terrible with last word so the few tries at the quest before were horrible until i played Mayhem clash. Between supers, grenades and heavy, it doesn't matter what you have in your primary, just equip last word onto your sunbreaker titan and you're good to go 👍 you only need to have it equipped, you don't need to actually get kills with it!

3 RespuestasI got a lifetime 0.8 KD and I never killed anyone with TLW for this quest. Go to control, equip primary weapon of choice, hide in a corner or kill oposing team your choice, wait for super, hide in a corner, equip TLW, pop super and kill enemy, hide in a corner, un-equip TLW profit. rinse and repeat as necessary Read the quest. It says you need to get kills with TLW equiped. It does not say you need to get kills with TLW I prefered classic 6v6

Honestly though, it's hard as hell. That being said, equip it when you're at least 1000-3000 pts ahead so you will essentially get the win bonus.

1 RespuestaSure it is, I did it in bloody Iron Bannner. Here's a tip. Your percentage only goes up and down when you actually have it equipped. So only equip it in maps that you can do well in. Kills with any weapon and with abilities or supers count, so if you're better at sniping or shotgun rushing, equip it and do that, it still counts.

3 RespuestasI'm doing it now and honestly this quest feels broken. People say kills not from last word still count but when ever I use my super it don't get anything despite getting 3 and 4 kills with a storm trance.

I cheated on mine, I did it when the srl was active, I hate the last word for crucible

If I got it done with my shit K/D, you can too. Just equip it at the end of the match if you're about to win, then stay alive. Takes awhile but I did it.

4 RespuestasDid it last week on inferno playlist. I never played with the last word that much but its pretty good. The chaperone is quite fun to use in pve. Im terrible with it it pvp.
