A warlock with a full armor build and the ram helmet can survive a regular shoulder charge.

True, but that would mean everyone would need to run that specific class/build in order to counter Shoulder Charge. In order to create balance, there cannot be one single move (excluding Supers) on one single subclass that can't be countered by all other subclasses. You should be able to counter every move in the game, with every subclass. This is the only way to make all subclasses equally fun to use in PvP. And this does not include Supers. Supers are another can of worms. E.g., Shadowshot being very difficult to shut down Stormtrance or Arc Blade, but it cancels out Fist of Havoc instantly.

I like the way you think. Your smarter than the average member. And ps. Don't feed the trolls. It'll never end....

Thanks. I'm just trying to help spread accurate information and help the community as a whole. Destiny isn't perfect, but it's one of the best games ever created. It will get better with age...like a fine wine. :) And I'm fresh out of giblets, I've bowed out of that one.

Nobody remembers good games. Only the ones where lag plays a factor. If I play 10 games laggy moments happen maybe twice. And not in the same game. Only once per game twice total. Plus I think many of the complaints can be traced to ppl blaming lag instead of poor gameplay decision. Not saying it is ONLY those decisions and never lag. But more often than not I find myself in a party with a sweaty friend who rages about lag while I have a great game. Idk operator error? Lol

Exactly, everyone always points the finger. It's easier to blame Bungie for SBMM being the problem than it is to troubleshoot your end of the equation. There's many variables between your brain seeing something happen on screen and your reaction time/pressing a button, your hardware and settings and wiring, all the hardware and wiring on the Internet between your house and everyone else, etc... Lag compensation is built into the netcode to try to cope with these variables, but it's not perfect and never will be. But it must be SBMMs fault. There's one guy out there that started this myth that is just laughing his @$$ off at everyone blaming this on SBMM. Everyone believes everything they read on the Internet and spreads lies and misinformation. But there's a few that understand the technology and call BS on the rumors and speculation, but no one will listen to them because they are too ignorant. And I only have a 10Mbps DSL connection, but my ping time is <30ms. 95% of my games are very enjoyable. DSL is better than cable though because I get a dedicated connection, not shared. I don't get throttled during peak hours. I also use a Netduma router so I can set a geolocation and the max ping time that I want to connect to other players. I works pretty well most of the time.
-
I pay extra for 30mbps and my wife and I play together all the time with no issues. Usually one wired one wifi. Imo if lag was such an issue ppl would complain in pve more than pvp. I've never spent 3 hours trying to win a pvp match. Pve is fine tho. And when there is an issue no one say "suck it bungie!!! Your game is garbage!" Instead their fireteam says "dang it scrub upgrade your internet!"
-
Exactly! :)
-
Oh and I thought about netduma. Is it worth it?
-
If it's worth it is going to be based on how much you play PvP and how much money you make. I play 75% PvP and make decent money, so it was worth every penny to me. If I mostly played PvE I wouldn't get one, and if I didn't make much money I wouldn't put it on a credit card. But if you like tuning your end of the equation to give you the best possible experience, then Netduma is the only product on the market with that capability. I'm a total geek about networking and making sure I'm not contributing to the lag problem, so if you're like me, then pick one up. There's a few guys that have done reviews on YouTube that have discount codes in the description. I think it's like 10%, so it's worth tracking it down. I want to say one of them was Drift0r.

Juggernaut is more overpowered than shoulder charge btw.
-
Ummm, no not really. You can counter Juggernaut with every other subclass, but you can only counter Shoulder Charge with a max armor Warlock build w/ Warlock exclusive Ram Helmet.
-
Lol obviously you havent played me. Ill come at you with the universal remote while titan skating.
-
I'm not saying it isn't good, I'm saying it can be countered much easier than Shoulder Charge. And we're not talking about playing each other here as that will only escalate into a destructive conversation; I only have constructive conversations on the forums. Trying to stay on topic here...
-
Hunter can throwing knives/blink/shadestep..a well trained hunter can counter. A warlock and titan can counter with armor builds...
-
You can't counter it if it hits you first; that's my argument. If I'm struck with Shoulder Charge (no matter what class/subclass I'm running other than a max defense build Warlock with Ram helmet) there's nothing I can do to fight back. I die instantly. What I've been trying to say is, it should only take my health down to somewhere between 10-20%. That way I can at least try to counter the attack. I'll still probably die, but I could possibly have the chance for a trade, or if I have a shotgun out, maybe I'll be able to survive. I just feel like I should have a chance to counter the attack after I've been struck by it. It shouldn't be an insta-kill, IMO.

If they ever make it to where it doesnt kill, then they should at least stun the target. Sort of like being tethered.

Its been in the game since day 1. I think its fine. Id rather have someone running towards me than deal with a camper.. i rarely get killed twice by shoulder charge. Once it happens, you know to expect it. Just watch your radar and counter him.
