You were saying, Bungie?
As a PvE player, I don't give a shit if players are dying to one specific type of weapon in PvP. Why should I care if people keep dying to "meta" weapons? PvP problems should stay in PvP. I don't want my guns to fire cotton balls at Oryx all because PvP players keep crying for nerfs.

2 RespuestasVandals dont shoot back at you with thorn. You are being selfish.
-
Ah yes nerfing, trying to balance the weapons. Make ton's of different guns, then try to make them all the same, Bungie logic.
-
Just separate the pvp nerfs from pve. Problem solved.
-
2 RespuestasProceeds to nerf MIDA You forgot one!!!!
-
1 RespuestaBungie's first mistake was having PvE and PvP linked together. Stupidest thing I've ever seen and heard of on that stream.
-
8 RespuestasYou must understand that people bitch that there isnt variety in the crucible. So they must nerf the most effective thing that is popular or else there wont be variety in the crucible. Daiblo 3 does this with every patch not one build is alway be top tier for every seasons and adjust accordling to the data.
-
2 RespuestasPretty sure you took that out of context if they said it at all. To bungie overused=overpowered and gets nerfed. Sucks they did it to the pve guts too but snipers were widely used in it as well, especially in the raid. Even tho that's because the way it was designed.

I remember the quote I believe it was in reference to the thorn nerf requests. Could have been much earlier, but thanks for bringing up the quote, makes me wonder exactly why they nerfed Gally when it was going to get thrown aside a few short weeks later. Though we all know the Gally nerf was the sign that xur was coming with it, and sure enough it happened. Can't control xur inventory my ass lol

5 RespuestasI still believe and will continue to believe that all the weapon adjustments that are announced are just cunning psychological warfare, and nothing actually takes place. Case in point- everyone claims that auto rifles are still no better, after 3 different patches. (I never had a problem with them to start with, used them from day 1.) My own observations are that shotguns and fusion rifles are not any worse and never changed noticeably, better or worse, during any patch period (with the exception of the Vex, first patch only). Ditto pulse rifles and hand cannons. MIDA was supposedly patched to remove the "hidden perk" High Caliber Rounds, yet the other day I took mine into Clash for the first time in a long while and I was watching enemies' heads snap back, just like old times. I had some of my best matches in forever. Look over my Hunter- the games where my KD is way up are the ones where I had the MIDA out on a field where scout rifles would shine. The weapons don't change. Players start using different weapons, and a herd mentality sets in when someone realizes that previously underutilized weapons are worthwhile. Then they become the new "meta" (which is itself a meaningless phrase). Look around the Crucible- there are still plenty of pulse/shotgun combinations, plenty of TLW/snipers, plenty of Hawkmoon or generic hand cannons. Those weapons didn't go anywhere or lose any potency for the players who stuck with them. But they lost popularity, because of the numbers who are in search of this month's "easy button". Thanks for reading. Drop in any time, we're always open.

7 RespuestasPrior to the nerf name one downside sniper rifles had in PvE

I feel like a lot of pvp nerfs and unfair rebalances could of been avoided if they kept weapon perks out of pvp and just left weapons with their raw stats. Sure you would have less variety, at what, 3 kinds of autos, 3 kinds of hand cannons, 4 kinds of pulses, and 4 kinds of scout rifles, to go with the 5 kinds of snipers, 4 kinds of fusions, 1 kind of sidearm, and 5 kinds of shotguns, with the 5 kinds of machine guns and some number of rocket launchers(you want a stat archetype? Too bad) But, the game would be balanced as far as gunplay is concerned.
-
Pvp should use whatever they want without nerfs if ya can't beatem joinem, so what if everyone use the same gun eventually they will get tired of it if not Owell that's on them. If ya still can't beatem play cod or some other pvp shooter cause they have nothin to do with pve like this games pvp vs pve

6 RespuestasSniper nerf had no effect, at all. Bullet hose auto rifle nerf had no effect, at all. Although I must say good job to bungie for nerfing machine gun ammo, now people can't run around going on 10 kill streaks with one heavy ammo round.
-
Except the High ROF auto Nerf was About as Effective as the Auto Rifle Buff.

Things are nerfed bc the community bitched about how unhappy they are, that's the only reason.

6 RespuestasYou want to nerf them because you keep getting kill buy them (drops mic)

1 RespuestaNo one realizes that the easiest and best solution is to lower the aim assist and make snipers work for their kills.

Nerfed HC accuracy because Exotic HC's were popular

*proceeds to nerf auto rifles by 2.5% because they were the most used and didn't fix them for 8 months*

7 RespuestasThat said the "Nerf Blahblah" posts would never end. Only solutions are to close the forums or "fix" the "OP" weapons so the kids would shut up. Can't blame them for trying to "fix" the problem. Of course players and Bungie should know by now that nothing will shut the kids up.

19 RespuestasAnd they nerfed MIDA, a perfectly balanced gun, just for being popular
