Well considering we're the only class that has had to put up with not only one, but two lazily and shittily thought-out/developed Class Exclusives, I think we deserve some time to actually enjoy these.
Because otherwise ours are complete shit and forever remain complete shit, and Hunters get 1.5/2 and Warlocks get 1.5/2 amazing choices (Hunter HC is debatable, as is Warlock Fusion Rifle.) But nothing they've gotten is so obnoxiously useless as either of these exclusives.
I get I'm asking for a really simple and allegedly OP Fabian. But what the -blam!- was Tlaloc to you? Do you honestly think that was balanced? Sunsingers -blam!- Crucibabies until they died, then -blam!- them some more? Is that your idea of fun?
I imagine the only reason MIDA was even brought back was when the huge outroar came along of "Tlaloc OP" and because only Warlocks could use one of the few remaining OP Scout Rifles, they did something of a coverup to keep from nerfing their precious Warlock Exclusive. #SpinmetalHatsOn
Reverse-SUROS was a lazy idea and a poorly thought out one. It doesn't work in practice.
So yeah, sorry that once again, the players expect some sort of measurable equality between Class Balance and Item Distribution. Excuse me for wanting something actually worth stowing away in my Vault, let alone using. At this point I've already Dismantled those items at least once each, possibly twice or more for Fabian.
So yeah, scoff all you like. I'm just tired of seeing the same gimmicks every year: Warlocks get coddled like infants, Hunters get superb treatment, and Titans? Always being crushed to the bottom of the class.
It's time we saw that change.

There is a reason nobody uses Tlaloc, despite the fact that it should be godmode. Also Susano-o is outclassed by every Thesan, Ace of Spades is useless in Crucible. Stillpiercer is really the only continuously useful unique weapon, and even then that's mostly because of its archetype instead of its perks.
-
Why don't you give me that reason? ;) I don't have one so I wouldn't know.
-
Hell if I know. If it were good I would have used it more than a dozen times.
-
They probably just don't like using it while the perk isn't active. I've heard about people saying they only swap to Tlaloc once their Super is charged, and that they run MIDA up until then. But that's the worst I've heard. It's a great weapon and despite it being underused it's a great weapon. I guess the initial Rate of Fire is just slower than most people can appreciate. If it's the Last Extremity archetype it makes sense.
-
Then you would expect to see a whole lot more of it once supers start charging, but I have almost never seen that happen. It just isn't used, because it somehow isn't good.

Editado por iDovahBear: 5/14/2016 2:44:45 AMI suppose you're not wrong. When I see it it's not usually that annoying until the Super perk is active. And even then I don't see it all that often. I still somehow see it more than Fabian, which is almost never. But I suppose that's where I'd make my point: All the new Exotics are hardly used. Not even The First Curse gets used much, and even post-nerf TLW is more acceptable. These new guns are just weirdly weak, you know what I mean?

Editado por bobswerski: 5/14/2016 4:11:09 PMWell that's the thing about the Tlaloc. It's not just a MIDA clone. And to be a real MIDA replacement you have to make a really big trade off, which is to never use your super. Outside of trials or Sunsingers in PvE, it's rarely a good idea to hold on your super long enough to get a ton of use out of it. Which is part of my point. If you turned the Fabian into a god roll doctrine it would (in the current meta) be by far the best of the class exotics. Which is OK to an extent, one is always going to be a little better than the others, you just don't want it to be head and shoulders above. But that's also boring and makes it the one with probably the fewest trade offs. And if you already have a Doctrine or were smart enough to pick up an Arminius from the gunsmith last month WTF would you waste your exotic slot on something you already have a legendary version of? Plus, if the next balance pass makes, say, mid-low RoF weapons king again, well, you're screwed and stuck with a gun that's neither unique or useful because those things kinda suck in PvE as it is so if they aren't great in crucible it's now just sitting in your vault again.

Editado por iDovahBear: 5/14/2016 6:06:00 PMI expect this gun to be sitting in my Vault for awhile, probably forever at this point. If and when Bungie changes anything, it'll be interesting to see what they do. But until then, I want to get my worth out of this PoS. That's all.
