It has been around since day one. Of course it's everywhere. It's also the closest thing this game has to a Halo Battle Rifle so those fans likely clamor to it. I haven't said anything about the Aim Assist because I don't know about it and can't really feel nor have tested for a difference with it.
The gun is balanced. It performs great in its effective range like most guns but has a very low one for its type. It doesn't have any wild abilities like healing or explosions or magic rounds. It's just a steady going scout rifle. I'll admit I think it was quite OP with High Caliber Rounds though.

it allows you to strafe very quickly, it has crazy aim assist, a good time to kill, third eye... cmon.. lol
-
I forgot about Third Eye. That's a standard perk roll in a standard perk slot though. The quicker strafing is literally equivalent to higher agility. It's just a gun that can boost your agility a lot (or you could pick something other than Lightweight).
-
with lightweight and the built in perk, you move a little over 10 percent faster than normal... which is a huge difference... especially since that means you basically move full speed while ads... which helps in gunfights, you also have insane aim assist. which helps in gunfights.. the mida was designed to give the upper hand in every scout rifle fight. 3rd eye, coupled with the increased movement speed makes it easy to avoid being flanked... and quickdraw coupled with the already crazy 100 equip speed makes it a fantastic weapon to use in conjunction with basically any secondary, pushing with a shotgun and a titan twilight garrisons and skates out of range? pull out mida. landed a body shot with a sniper and are being pushed? swap, finish with a mida headshot. or swap to mida and run like hell with your extra movement speed. yea it suffers a little at long ranges, but it thrives in short-mid to mid- long ranges..
-
It can't do mid long 4 shot kills. The damage falloff is very punishing. Again, Third Eye is a standard roll. Any scout can get it. The movement perk is akin to an extra Lightweight. Spec out your recovery to boost your agility and you've got the same edge in a gunfight. Quickdraw is redundant because the equip speed, not amazing. It's like when Icebreaker had the range boosting perk but had max range. You're just describing how to utilize the gun's strengths anyway, which makes any gun sound OP if you don't point out its tradeoffs.
-
just because third eye is a standard perk doesn't mean it doesn't make the gun perk. also the "mida multi tool perk" adds almost 10% movement speed on its own. it is way more than just an extra lightweight perk.
-
Third Eye being a standard perk actually means it doesn't put MIDA above other scouts. Multitool perk doesn't boost jump height like agility/lightweight does though.
-
no.. just movement speed. and ads strafing at basically running speeds is a huge advantage in gunfights. so is crazy aim assist.. I'm trying to point out how it has great (or at the very least well above average) stats, coupled with great perks that synergize well with its archetype.
-
Most if not all exotics synergize well. That's partially the point. MIDA boosts all movement speed. It's not a huge ADS bonus. It's a base speed increase. It's nothing that can't be accomplished by specing for agility.
-
it is definitely more than can be accomplished by speccing for agility... especially if you are already running max agility.
-
If you're running max agility of course not. I've compared agility speccing and MIDA effects on speed though and MIDA isn't as significant in speed.
-
I'm interested to see how fast a max agility titan with a mida can skate lol...
-
Horrifyingly quick I'd say. I wouldn't know though. I only tested for warlock.
-
you are forgetting get the mida multi tool perk... which stacks with lightweight.....
