Not at all. The issue applies to all players, not just him. His credentials don't discredit the argument. Whether he has a lot of raid completions or not does not change the fact that legacy raids need to return.

  • I disagree, I'd rather they work on new raids. I've done the old ones to death, people complain that they reskin things all the time. This would be no different, world of warcraft do it exactly the same. When a new raids comes out the old ones are obsolete, people need to get that mentality in their heads.

  • It's a video game with content that people pay for. This is the first game I've played where people WANT content to become useless. The point of playing a game is because it's fun. The old raids were fun. That's like asking them to remove all the crucible maps and add new ones and those are the only ones we can play. Why can't they have ALL the raids playable? The logic eludes me. There's literally no advantage to having certain content viable and some not. You're literally changing a few lines of code to up the level. It literally takes no effort.

  • They would have to change all the weapons which they won't, they'd also have to make it relevant to the story which they won't. This game is all about the next challenge not looking back. If they haven't done it now they ain't gonna do it now considering they've confirmed the next dlc and the second game. Just get over it, if it's still fun for you go and play it, nothing is stopping you.

  • They don't have to change weapons or the lore. Just add year 2 engrams to each loot drop on top of year one stuff and add a higher difficulty. Done. Also the lore reason makes no sense to me. I don't care if the raids or strikes have taken or not. I want to play what's fun to me and not take a hit to rewards chances because of it. The moment you ever play a mission that preceded the last one you did you are ignoring the timeline. Why is year one different? Takenifying winter runs makes no sense lore wise. It's just bungies policy on bringing strikes forward.

  • It actually does make sense. That's why taken are in the prison of elders. But obviously it's not as simple as you say it would be otherwise they'd have done it already. Bungie has their reasons for not bringing them forward, and like I've said I agree. It was unbelievably fun but more than anything now it would not be a challenge as we all know the old raids back to front.

They did the same for valus. He is now during the taken invasion instead of before crota, but the old version is still in the vanguard strikes. So we have already have a parallel timeline in the middle of the strikes. I don't need to the lore rewritten. VOG can stay in its old place in the lore but doesn't mean it can't drop year 2 stuff. Implementing it means getting their mess of an engine to cooperate. I think they reason they haven't brought it forward is simply because they can't just add it. They have to rebuild and recode the activity from the ground up it seems because their editor is trash. Also I'm not looking for a challenge is the difference then. Kings fall is supposed to be challenging but that translates to no one can make a mistake so to me it's not challenging it's monotonous. I far prefer sherpaing VOG. The challenge comes in teaching new people and putting on old gear but I can still have fun. Skolas was a good challenge but I don't care much about him coming forward because at the end of the day challenge can be fun but I'm only looking for that kind of fun a minority of the time. I just want to kick back and play something fresh (since its been so long VOG is fresh to me) and have fun doing it. Challenge can wait in my opinion. I'd like to simply have fun in whatever I choose to do again and not be stagnant in progression because of it

  • They don't have to change all the weapons and armor, just edit it to drop at 335 or edit it to be able to be infused which would take over person a few minutes then walk away. and work on something else.

  • But they have said that they won't have elements on primarys anymore. So unless they backtrack on that which I can't see then they would have to make changes.

  • they could remove all the elements from the guns and give them either a pve Breaker( hive ect.) perk and/or compliment the armor and give them a intrinsic boost to your abilities if you a full set +gun... they would still be a highly sought after set this would not take that much coding to do... not even a patch worth.

  • It's not worth it though, I have a really good roll treads upon stars and imago loop which would make them drops pointless.

  • not realy looking at word of corta, taking it up to a year two status even with out elemental damage, explosive rounds and 5x damage its still a good gun.
