How to spot the bad eggs?

Okay so, I've been having trouble recently with raid teams and in general just people to routinely play with, so I've decided to make this post. Honestly I'm not a pro destiny player that knows most of the statistics or drop rates or cheeses for everything. I am just an (I like to think slightly above) average destiny player wanting to find some sort of.. strategy (I guess for lack of a better word?) finding good players to play with. By this I mean how to spot another player that doesn't have an "it's all about me" raid mentality or a negative personality. I'd like to know if any of you experienced lfg'ers/players know any way to quick identify these types of players so I can bail out of their groups and get in with someone who isn't an asshat, so that I may maximize my potential for completing raids or other activities. To put things into perspective as to my luck with groups, I've played Destiny almost since beta and I've done VoG ONCE in year one and have only done 4 raid completions overall (3 of which are from last week) and I've had TTK almost since it came out and STILL have not completed the Kings Fall TL;DR How to identify shitty players quickly? NOT a post for lfg.

  • I found out when playing with randoms, that i almost always know a good group when we get to the totems on King's Fall Raid.If we manage to complete it the first or second try, then i know i got a good group and it will go smooth al the way to the end. As for the mentality of the players... By the time you get to the totems it usually takes 10-15 min and you can listen how your group chat, respond or/and interract with you so you can easily spot the players that are ''bad'' in a mental way or they think we have to do the raid in the way they say...

  • Honestly, I've found that a well worded LFG post with decent spelling and grammar almost always indicates a much better group. By contrast the snippy ones which carry on in leetspeak about specific guns or weirdly specific requirements are typically much worse. Unusually high requirements are typically, though not always, a bad sign. Make your own team with the above in mind and one finger poised over the boot button. Don't be afraid to kick disruptive players either.
