So I was playing the raid today. King's Fall, Hard MODE. A 334 was with us and it was his FIRST TIME to do this raid. Nice people, don't get me wrong, but to be 1 level away from max but never touched the raid before that is a slap in the face to so many. I am putting together a video of what I hope destiny 2 will bring but a tier raid system in which stepping stones are required before entering into each raid is something I believe IS A MUST!!! Play any MMORPG and you will see that you have to do raid A to get gear/armor to barely pull it out in raid B. I'm not knocking the player, because clearly he's grinded in COE and other things to get where he is.
Granted, Destiny works off of a DLC system. I would just rather DLC 1 become free when DLC 2 comes out. However, DLC 2 requires you to do DLC 1 FIRST! Increases Longevity of the game and revives dead content.
FF14 ARR does a good job of keeping old content revived by offering gil/currency/exp to help others in older dungeons/raids. Would like to see Bungie implement this.
Also on a side note, I love the app/site. However, it would be nice to have an in-game chat system for those in your clan. I feel like that has been brought up before but hey what the hell, I'll bring it up again. clan chat/global chat would be nice. I know, you can have groups/apps/psn communties etc. It would just be a nice feature to implement just to add more to the in game experience.
Ok I'm done now.
just a note at this particular player, it took him only 3-4 hours to complete with us and he did amazing!!
UPDATE**
so because people on this forum are 12 an under and can't read a post from beginning to end I will just reply with "banana pancakes"

2 RespuestasYou didn't do all the HoW content, looks like you didn't beat Skolas....maybe you should be a lv34 until you do. I mean with statements like "a slap in the face", you sound like an elitest, and when you haven't even beaten y1 hard mode content you sound like a hypocrite. I haven't done a single raid in y2, my friend and i used to two man the bulk of y1 raids, and could 2 man crota, never had a group of guys id do the raids with other then that. But i still play, i solo the nightfalls, solo coe (just put up 40k on my first solo run this week). I can be a solid 330 on all 3 characters, I'm not going to apologize to idiots like you for it. Grinding the same exact raid every week for gear doesn't make you great, once the mechanics are down its rinse and repeat, and anyone can get the mechanics of a raid down, especially playing with the same group of friends. So a 334 who hasn't done it wanted to give it a go, who the hell are you to care? Now go put on your big boy pants and beat skolas you scrub (haha jk)
-
3 RespuestasI like people that managed to kill Skolas in Y1. That is the true test, for me.
-
I don't see how it's a big deal.

6 RespuestasPrior to the April update you HAD to raid to reach max level. Raiding was a right of passage and IMO the entire point of the game. Now anyone can reach max without touching the raid. Bungie essentially changes their game (which they have every right to do) overnight with little reasoning. Raiding was a test of skill and seperated the good from the bad. Bad move Bungie, IMO

1 Respuesta
but to be 1 level away from max but never touched the raid before that is a slap in the face to so many.
how so ? cause it make you not quite as special of a snowflake? get over it , this argument has been going on for over a year. as long as they're honest about how much raid experience that have when they join your raid group, what's the issue? the simple fact is less then 15% of the destiny population has completed a raid. therefore Bungie has to come up with another way for players to get top gear. ( I always thought just adding in-game LFG or 100% optional MM would solve this, but Bungie wants us to leave their game to play their game.. stupid shit IMO)

4 RespuestasHow can you try and tell someone how they can play their game.. Maybe not everybody raids all the time like you, maybe some ppl steer away from raids because of ppl like you. Ppl that make them feel so much less of a player because they haven't completed a raid. So what. Why not give ppl a chance. If someone wants to get to 335 before hitting the raid then let them, and then help them learn the raid so that they may run weekly like you!! You can't complain about how someone plays their game differently then you.. And if you want ppl to play the way to do then get off this forum and head down to the #recruitment forum and teach ppl the raid!!! That's why this community sucks because ppl can't play A VIDEO GAME how they want to. I don't know if you know this but.... Complain on a video game forum to a bunch of ppl isn't really fixing anything. Play the game how you want guardians. Travel on!!

1 RespuestaI haven't touched the Raid at all but I'm doing just fine on light.
-
1 RespuestaBungie needs to come up with a better system so everyone can somewhat equally catch up with other players... This system they have now is good, but Lil too late in the game bc a lot of inexperienced players are joining the raid and not knowing what to do.
-
1 RespuestaThis isn't anything new sadly. Some players back in January 2015 never even touched VoG. Same thing in May 2015. Now finally here. Trust me, people don't care about content. They just want to be the max level
-
2 RespuestasIts a subjective argument for sure... I would add that it is their loss. We each buy the game for our own experience. They are losing out on the richest content. Whilst i do agree with you, many dont. But they cant argue what theyre missing out on.. But if theyre happy to then so be it. Max light means nothing unfortunately but weapon rolls are certainly the new endgame carrot. Destiny two will fix this all, im certain of it. I mean how can somebody expect to be top level without doing the raid, its the epitome of pve. Coe is laughably easy. I raided loads in year 1 but wasnt a huge fan of ttk raid.. Still did it on hard and normal though. I cant imagine destiny without raids

4 RespuestasIronically the actual good PvP players would say it sucks that average players like you get carried to Flawless.
-
1 RespuestaIt's a slap in the face you even posted this
-
4 RespuestasI laugh at those who run a raid billions of times, just for it to become irrelevant shortly after.
-
2 RespuestasI think Bungie just needs to step up their raid gear. I'm fine with max level and no raids. Just give us awesome gear (like in the VoG) that can ONLY be obtained from the raid (like in the VoG), to give an incentive to raid. Raids shouldn't exclude anyone who bought the game from reaching max level. Raids SHOULD, however, be the sole source of gear that out classes most other gear - it should be on a tier of its own. Like in the VoG back in the day.

Only 3-4 hours

4 RespuestasIm 332 and havent touched hard mode. Mostly because people dont want someone "unexperienced" at it. Just tell me what to do and i'll do it. Its not that hard.
-
I like your reply to the 12 year olds in your post. I also agree with you. I believe that omm on top of a tiered system would be great.
-
2 RespuestasI have specific gear for doing the Hard raid that is 309 light. I refuse to infuse it higher just for the fact that 305 is about the minimum level you need to be to do Kings Fall on Hard. I raid 3 times and do all challenges regardless of which week it is. Anyone requiring FAKE ELITIST Level 335s is usually worthless at the jumping sections and couldn't Snipe their Light Eater Knight if he stood still and Hidden Hand expanded his Hit Box to the corners of the Screen.

I have played ffxi and wow, and this is the part of the games that I couldn't stand. I was penalized for not changing my life around for a video game. How is it fair to a player that plays casual; but puts in the same amount of time, to deny them the same armor level as you?
-
Light level is pretty much a number these days. We have forgotten how it was in the VOG days, were your level matter in volumes. Just the other day I played with one 334 and a 330 on COE and I practically carried them both, me been at 318. I actually got a rewarding satisfaction out ot it. Slap in the face........not so much if you ask me.

17 RespuestasEditado por highlander1590: 5/12/2016 9:13:46 PMDude how on earth is that a slap in the face to anyone? You have played 32 days worth of game time. I have 92 Days of game time am a 335 and I have never done a Raid. I have done a lot more grind and paid a lot more "dues" than you have. Having an attitude like that just because you raid is why so many players get that get called "special snowflakes" and "elitists" . As for the rest of your observations they make perfect sense.
-
3 RespuestasYou realise he could have farmed prison of elders? He could have gone flawless on all 3 chars every week he could have played iron banner he could have got exotic Engrams? Raid is crap tbh I'd prefer to run vault of glass.
-
3 RespuestasRight because iron banner, trials, nightfalls, exotics and COE don't count.
-
I disagree with a lot if what you say. Not because I'm about to slander you, but because this game panders to more that just the MMO crowd, and the hardcore gamers. Because there are players who strictly play PvP, and because the majority of players are "casuals", it would lock a lot of content behind an experience wall that a lot of players would just walk away from. I get it though, you want to be validated for your efforts, and I think you should be. But I doubt it will ever come in a form that disenfranchises a large part of the player base. Validation will most likely have to come in a way that doesn't yank the rug out from under other fans of this game.

9 RespuestasHi, I'm currently 329, and have never stepped foot into a single Destiny raid. I will be hitting 335, and still not raiding. Even long after hitting that cap, I won't be raiding. Won't even be stepping into trials again either. If we want to grind elsewhere, let us grind elsewherw. Putting in the work, no matter where, is still work.
