I've just murdered Aldrich, Devourer of Souls. I have a +6 Dark Sword that is infused with lightning damage, I understand that the Dancer of the Boreal Valley is vulnerable to lightning damage, but I cannot seem to do enough damage to her at a fast enough pace.
TLDR I need help killing the Dancer, my build focuses on STR/DEX and a little FAI for the lightning scale on my sword.

So I went to the dancer on NG+ yesterday and he didn't stand a chance. Mage for the win

12 RespuestasI glitches it lol you can actually glitch it from the very beginning which you can't do anymore, but you better have a mighty shield to stop most of its dmg as it tends to infinetly spam the same move over and over
-
Stay on her back and hit when it's open. Also, use the black knight greataxe mine does a shit ton at +10
-
5 RespuestasUm just dodge and poke. Don't get greedy. Meaning don't r1 spam
-
Strafe to the left, it helps to avoid her grab. She is also big, so get between her feet and behind as often as you can.

Change the infusion. Figure out how attribute bonus works. Simply put, if you're running a dex build you'd want to put a sharp gem on it, strength build you'd want whatever gem it is that makes it scale better with strength. then use your pine resin to add electric damage. With the damage (i.e. 123+45) the first number is the weapons base damage, the second is how much extra is added due to scaling. Make that purely physical, and you can buff it however using items to add to that overall damage. Should notice a hell of a difference

Just don't be greedy, and dodge like you never had before.

You have the same weapon as me , except I had it +5 when I killed her and not infused. Also I did it before even killingAldrich. And I did it legit , feels good when you finally kill her.

Editado por TBoneJake: 5/12/2016 2:00:57 AMWhat console? I am a level 70something knight with a +9 exile greatsword Edit: Sorry, I just looked and saw you wanted tips. Patience is key on this fight. Wait for her to do an attack that you know you can get in afterwards and do some damage. Don't be afraid to not attack if you think it'll put you in danger. Just watch out for her grab and spin attacks. They will absolutely destroy you if you get caught by them.
-
Your best bet is to learn the attack patterns. It's not all about damage. For example, when she's halfway dead and pulls out her second sword, the spinning attack she uses has 9 swings plus one around her feet. If you can, stay just far enough away that she can't hit you, then rush in for a hit or two after her ground-sweep. Otherwise, if you look at that spinning attack you'll notice that the blades go either from high left to low right (like a backslash "\") or visa versa ("/") and if you strafe the other way you can avoid most of them.
-
First phase isn't too bad you can roll through the attacks, 2nd phase is tougher but I used pillars as a bonus shield, make sure there's a pillar between you & Dancer and pick your shots while she's recovering

Don't infuse your weapon unless you have a collection of backup weapons. Also, the dancer has a lot of health. Almost as spongy as Oceiros.

3 RespuestasGet rid of the lightning infusion, it splits the damage. Just stock up on pine resins and go with a refined dark sword. It'll do a lot more damage that way. Also the Dancer is not a Dps race like the 4 kings. Take your time, and stay back to avoid some attacks if you have to.
-
14 RespuestasInfuse your dark sword to be refined. it scales with str and dex. Use buffs. Always go for highest physical damage for weapons and use buffs. Should be lots of signs outside of Dancers fog gate. Unless you to solo in which case stay slightly behind and watch for grab attack. Get out of the way during the dance. Pick your moments and attack.
