Examples of shit that some of the community thinks is/was too hard:
- Valus "RMDF" Ta'aurc (nerf'd)
- Psion Flayers of all things (nerf'd)
- Lvl 35 PoE (arc burn in the hive room was a beast)
- Black Spindle
- Nightfalls in general (nerf'd)
- Saber strike beginning
- Omnigul NF w/lightswitch and arc burn
- Skolas
Most of the "challenges" have been easy (looking at you KF raid) and the harder content gets nerf'd thru community outcry, refusal to play or both. Tis a shame really.
We have to make our own challenges. You want to take on Skolas, nerf yourself by taking down your gear or using weak, unfamiliar weapons, and go in there. He is still fun to run w/o the sword-cheese to block his poison.

Black spindle wasn't hard, just a bitch to clear out taken psions when they just won't stop multiplying.

Well let's be honest, saber strike has a beginning that is far too much. Harder than the rest of the dungeon.

Harder than the rest of the strike? Yes. Too far? Don't think so imo.

On heroic maybe, on nightfall it is hell. I won't call a strike fun where my survival relies on how well we can time our Dawns.

Really depends on the modifier and which enemy you get. You have a good argument...level of fun is negated by frustration level, but the op was about challenge, not fun. There is a reason for the old glitch cheese and for ppl to skip it in the strike playlist, but if you want a challenge, it is there still till they nerf it, which by past exp will happen anyway.

Also made a suggestion (which we all know is not ever gonna happen) to bring back Skolas in Taken Form and make that the new boss to beat for the 330+. Just a thought that I shared.

Not saying you were complaining. Saying that everything that has a challenge is nerf'd because of the community, so they either don't make it challenging anymore or they nerf it. You already know we're not gonna get that challenge anymore, so if you want it, make it yourself is all I'm saying. Just a recommendation.
