Playing rift solo you tend to notice certain things when your team is about to get mercied.
Things like:
1) You are the only player on your team standing by the relic when its available and there 5 enemies shooting at you
2) At least 2 players on your team have never left the spawn since the beginning of the game and live only to defend the rift- even after the enemy has grabbed the relic for 4 minutes straight due to the fact that there are maybe 2 teammates fighing against 5 enemies. Even when no one has the relic, or their own team has the relic, they just wont contribute.
3) Teammates are popping supers at completely inappropriate situations. HINT use your super when your team has the relic and you need to drive it in.
4) Teammates just go to spawnkill the other team and fail miserably- they dont get very many kills and they never help grab the relic or defend the rift. They just attempt to camp the enemy spawn.
I think it would help if Bungie somehow changed the matchmaking based on players stats. Based on rifts defended, rifts slammed etc.. Right now the games are way lopsided at least in my experience.
Its a great game mode and I would like to be able to play solo sometimes.

5 games in a row I had one person keep running back into our spawn for some reason, and at one point my entire team and I actually cleared the spawn for him to do a backwards dunk. BUT NOPE HE HAD TO GET SPECIAL AMMO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENTIRE BATTLEFIELD AND GOT FISTED IN THE %&*

I agree. I tend to always play solo and i fancy myself a decent runner. But its very agitating when i have zero support when trying to get the relic or running the relic. I see teammates all the time running away from me when i have the relic. Its not Unstable Light, Im not gonna blow you up. Get by my side and rush with me, pussy. It all comes down to K/D. People are too afraid to -blam!- up their K/D.

3 RespuestasAll crucible modes, other than clash... Are clash. With obstacles.
-
1 RespuestaRift is fun except when people are like alright everyone hard scope the shit outa that spark and whipe the team ...so stupid >.>
-
I just want a true blue CTF... I hate Rift...
-
I stay by the relic and defend it, but I don't pick it up. Kinda hard to do it with 2 snipers lol. I protect my teammates and rush with them. I don't stay back in our spawn... too boring.
-
It seems like nobody knows the concept of rift sometimes.
-
Control is too
-
It is sometimes fun, and rift is a game mode that you need a fireteam which I mostly go in solo.
-
-
Nope just boring.
-
3 RespuestasI'm ranked #15 in rift and I haven't picked up the spark in like over 100 matches. Its the scrubs job to do that.
-
There is a lot of things in this game too complex for a lot of people. Raids, trials, strikes revive mechanics, etc Hell, I went through 3 groups of players on the Restorative Mind strike because no one could figure out the relics at the boss. They'd just die constantly, get pissed and leave. And people want matchmaking for raids lol
-
Wait till IB is rift...total shitfest...they put bounties in that are conducive to people playing clash, and that's what it turns into.
-
6 RespuestasI blame kd it happens way to many times in lot's of PvP games players to worried about their stupid kd they preffer their team getting destroyed than getting a win ughhh
-
4 RespuestasSo wait, i have to. ..carry the sparkle. ... oooohhhhhh.
I had so much fun on Iron banner rift, discovered the titan is far better (and fairer) than some blinking little turd.
-
1 RespuestaI'm the "slayer" in a Rift match. I defend the Runner, clear the paths, etc.
-
Too complex? No...its basic capture the flag. With a rift reskin. Even when you play capture the flag in other games, you will always see people waste their denial abilities/supers etc and do other dumb stuff. Theyre the same guys who take heavy ammo when theyre the only person there, or waste supers on a heavy round in 3's. So, i wouldnt say its complicated no. Some people just dont 'get it'

Just change the name to football
-
It's not just Destiny. A lot of players just don't play the objective in games. Like the guy camping in the corner racking up kills in CoD in Domination while his team struggles to capture points. Or Warsong Gulch in Wow where one guy goes for the flag and everyone else decides to fight in the middle. People are like honey badger. They just don't care.
-
The ONLY time I win in rift is if I end up on a side that has 3-4 friends playing in a fireteam. This game mode is all about communication.
-
Oh you mean those guardians that still thinks is clash with a spark? Yes.
-
7 RespuestasSolo is impossible in rift. I mean... just fcking impossible.
-
2 RespuestasClash is too complex for most Guardians.
-
Lol, with my team, I have them all run down one area, while I wait 3-4 seconds and sneak around the side.
-
I play solo rift regularly and I can say with just my individual score alone is the reason my team wins the game. I had one match where I had an individual score of 10000+. Most people try to use meta weapons in rift but it really doesn't help that much. You need weapons that benefit you as either defending the rift or being spark runner. A good strategy is to have one escort with you to the rift while the rest of the team creates a diversion. When the spark runner is active everyone needs to put pressure Exotic armors and certain subclass are best for rift. E. G. Twilight garrison, no back up plans, obsidian mind, nothing manacles, bones of aeo, sealed spine, dance machines, etc) High agility builds are crucial to out run the enemy
