Hey Pal202! I'm also at 335 light and many of my friends that I play with as well are 335 light also. From what we have gathered after so much time grinding for exotic engrams and other loot, it is not a guaranteed 335 light item if you have your character at 335 light. It's either going to drop at 334 or 335. Just last week I decrypted 4 exotic engrams at 335 light on my titan and only one dropped at 335. Good luck and keep grinding! :D
