Even as someone of this generation, I believe that the classics are better. Everything from pop rock to rap was better. Music today is just dull for the most part. It's sad really. My favorite bands are Aerosmith, Def Leppard, and Guns N' Roses. Feel free to leave your opinion and favorite bands below!
This shit is run by fake Christians, fake politicians Look at they mansions, then look at the conditions you live in All they talk about is terrorism on television They tell you to listen, but they don't really tell you they mission They funded Al-Qaeda, and now they blame the Muslim religion Even though Bin Laden, was a CIA tactician They gave him billions of dollars, and they funded his purpose Fahrenheit 9/11, that's just scratchin' the surface

1 RespuestaI personally believe that the 80's and 90's were the most important decades of music in history. But I feel we're on the cusp of the next great musical explosion. The past 16 years has been stagnated mostly by the mainstream music industry. The business model has become so fine-tuned that music is being released to the public based on market projections and profit margins. Fewer and fewer chances are being taken. They've found what works.. what sells.. and they've crammed it down our throats in as many forms as they can convince us to purchase. But that's just as much the fault of the consumers who flock to iTunes to scoop up the newest Beyonce album the moment it drops. If the consumer base really wanted creativity and originality, the music industry would be forced to seek that out. It's not like all the creativity left music completely, there's loads of top-notch musicians out there. You're just never going to hear them unless you do some digging yourself. But now we enter the internet age. We're already seeing the influence Soundcloud and Youtube is having on the industry. One of the biggest names in Hip-hop right now was a self-promoted Soundcloud success. People don't need record labels the way they once did to get their names out there. And people have easier access to a wider variety of music than ever before. So I feel that within the next decade, how we find and purchase music is going to drastically change. As record labels begin to have less and less control over the market, I think we as consumers will once again begin to see the really great musical artists come to the limelight and become the influences they once were. And I for one, am pretty excited about that.

The majority of the music I listen to is from 2000-present but I do like stuff from before too.

1 RespuestaAnd here we see an exhibit of the Internet scene kid outside his natural habitat of Pink Floyd/Nirvana YouTube comments. The legends told of a time when 14 year olds didn't have a dissonance towards modern music based solely on the controversy of 3 bad songs. It's a pretty tough call for me, but based off the strength of the Australian music scene alone in the past 4 years, let alone the last 16 worldwide, I'd take the modern era.

3 Respuestas80's Pop music... Phenomenal. Guns n' Roses and Metallica, even better.

Even 50's music was better than today
