Next Tuesday, May 3rd, we’re deploying Update 2.2.0.2 to correct a few things that were bugging us. (See what we did there?) It will fix a few chests, quests, and rewards – nothing major. Also included in the bundle will be some changes to help you land a punch a little more squarely on the jaw of your opponent.
Let’s talk about how those changes will make their way from our workbench to your game room.
I've read this Weekly a few times, thinking maybe I missed something...
But I haven't. There's a new update coming this Tuesday, "nothing major". But instead of telling us what's up, the Weekly goes into great detail about the melee fix in process, that isn't even going to be implanted this coming Tuesday, but the following.
One of our, your consumers, biggest beefs (and it's a full on steer with huge balls), is lack of transparency. I'm a bit concerned that there's no heads up about WTF is coming our way.
Now I'm no conspiracy theorist. And maybe I should STFU and keep enjoying myself with your game... But I can't help but wonder why the hell you'd gloss over this.
Anyone else a bit... I dunno... Curious at least.... Concerned at most about this coming update???
EDITED to keep convo on topic.

Hey, dipshit. Here's the transparency you ordered.
-
Whelp, patch notes have come and gone. All good fixes (supposedly) and no loot drop nerfs. Fantastic, guess I should have just trusted the system here. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
-
1 RespuestaSteers don't have balls
-
1 RespuestaAtleast they're doing something. They just updated the game not less than a month ago, and now they're working on fixing other issues. It's okay that they take their time. Relax.
-
1 RespuestaNot concerned. I would rather they don't bother announcing the updates. All the pre-bitching and speculation is annoying.
-
12 RespuestasAs soon as I saw the upcoming update, the first thing I thought is they're going to nerf the drops. Most everyone seems to be getting a lot of high light level gear and are happy about the rewards since the spring update. So they have to "fix" it right?
-
1 RespuestaThe version number tells you if its a minor, moderate or major patch. First number on left is major, second is moderate, third is minor, if there is a fourth, it is minuscule
-
Could be about why some people have been getting green engrams. Could be the crappy Cryptarch packages. Could be anything but it 's clearly a small thing. Although certainly I am more interested in the melee fixing bug. I'm going to wait until they've done it before I started to comment on it.

1 RespuestaEditado por C1phr1x: 5/1/2016 2:25:57 PMEver thought that the changes are exactly that, nothing major. Chest, quest, rewards fixes. Annoying shit that's not worth going into detail with. That's what release notes are for.
-
2 RespuestasThe point of the update is bug fixes, as mentioned in the weekly. So, what's the question/confusion?
-
They are being vocal about changes that are coming up. Personally, I am glad that this newfound openness with the community is here. Remember a couple months ago, when it was constant silence and secrets? Yeah, the overwhelming majority of people hated that. I'm sure the update for the week this is implemented will go into further detail. In the meantime, giving us a heads up is something I cannot complain about.

1 RespuestaEditado por Slackerr_26: 5/1/2016 4:13:22 PMI think you're reading too much into it. There are several quest rewards that are currently bugged, such as Finesse and Speed on PS4, as well as the Cryptarch rank-up packages dropping year 1 blue engrams, that need fixing. They say nothing major, well, because it's nothing major. The melee fix is probably the biggest issue they are fixing, so that is what they went into the most detail about. Most people don't care about small bug fixes in hotfixes and small updates. The reason for the week delay for the melee activation is to make sure the base update is secure and doesn't mess anything up before they implement the biggest change of the patch. That way they can verify the base update works, and if something is wrong with the melee fix itself, they can just deactivate it quickly on the 10th instead of trying to figure out the problem in the mass of releasing everything at once.
-
Hopefully they'll fix the -blam!-ing cryptache rep packages, and give all of us who've been getting a single 100 light blue engram off him something better.
-
0.4% Never forget😖
-
These days I barely even care .04%
-
When it comes out just read the update notes and it'll tell you what's changed in detail, sounds like the update is more or less to lay the groundwork for the fix.
-
They're checking the placement of the decimal to make sure it's in the correct spot.
-
4 RespuestasThey need to fix skolas. Soloed it twice, once without a key, once with a key. Can't get any ships or shaders to drop.
-
Just another pvp update
-
Your a weirdo .
-
Definitly gonna take away the april update because bungie hates people who play their gamr.
-
I think the major fix is the melee stuff, but I think they're waiting on details until they see how it effects the rest of the game. They're putting it in Tuesday and not pushing it live for a week, I believe, so they can test it a bit and not fix one thing and break 5. I'd wait till Thursday and see what they say before they push it live.
-
3 RespuestasThey're going to nerf the rewards again
-
5 RespuestasCould be to address why we get year one level drops from yr 2 activities. I personally had this happen. Fingers are crossed they aren't messing with drop rates. Which have been pretty good, aside from 3 o coins. Melee could be addressing hit detection issues on the Hunter or maybe increased Titan distance melee range? Played IB today on my Titan, never realized how piss poor it really is. Personally I always have doubts about any updates now being good. Guess we will see. I agree though about the lack of transparency.

20 RespuestasThe hell do you mean "our game"? Unless you're an Activision stockholder, you have no ownership of destiny whatsoever .

Dude shut up.
