I completely understand, respect, and agree with your post. But, we need to realize that the more we try to tell people what they should do(even if it is correct) the more they will do the opposite. As a teacher and a nurse , I see people from all walks of life and different education levels. Yes, it annoys me when I see or hear the improper usage of the English language. But, I firmly believe these individuals know what is correct and what is incorrect. They choose not to follow the correct path. The younger generation is growing up in an age where learning to write in cursive or writing in general has become a thing of the past. Everything is done on a computer now.Thus, language is open to greater scrutiny and opportunity for correction in poor grammar. These individuals will find out for themselves eventually about the consequences of utilizing poor grammar in text, writing, or verbally. We have to keep in mind that the people you are addressing in this post are primarily teenagers and twenty somethings. Even though your post is well intentioned, your words will fall upon deaf ears or be met with hostility because you are trying to tell them what to do. I leave that to their parents to instruct them on how they should conduct themselves professionally in life or on a forum. If they don't, they will learn the consequences soon enough. But it is their lesson to learn. I ignore the poor grammar and let it pass on the wayside. Correcting them won't do anything but make it into a heated argument. It's a videogame forum and the Internet in general. I'm sure a lot of these kids know about the grammatical faux pas, they just don't care. No one knows them. They can play a role as a release from their everyday lives of conformity to societal norms. As far as arguments stated about comparisons between English and other languages, English is far more complex and probably the most difficult language to learn. There are not as many homonyms/homophones (e.g.: there, their, and they're) . Also, the usage of contractions are non-existent in many languages. They are prevalent in English. Many of my friends and my spouse are from other countries and struggled when learning English as a second language and stated the aforementioned reasons. I apologize, I digress. Much of the conflict in the Destiny forums stems from the different age groups and generations who really don't understand one another. Let's keep in mind that we all have one thing in common: we enjoy Destiny. We all are Guardians. Let's celebrate our differences and just enjoy the game. I'll get off my soapbox now. Who cares about grammar as long as you spell things close enough for the reader to understand it shouldn't matter. We aren't writing a college essay here.

You're a control freak, who is not the most intelligent person, so you correct others with the limited knowledge that you have, to boost your self esteem and protect yourself from risking being wrong, by stating opinions that you can back up 100% by way of facts. You can't be argued with, and always want the last word. You tend to be very sensitive and emotional, but hide it very well. Mostly from yourself. No one and nothing can break through the wall you have created around your ego, including the ones who love you. It's hard for you to change your perception, leaving you narrow-minded. You see yourself as better than most other people, have little actual respect for others. You demand perfection, while you also have trouble admitting to your own mistakes, and you make alot of them. You will praise and defend yourself by way of the few good and honorable things you've done in life, while spending copious amounts of effort forgetting the many times you've failed yourself and others. Starting over is a concept you contemplate a lot, and you even though you show all the confidence in the world, you actually doubt yourself more than anyone else doubts you. Even though you tell people you love yourself you constantly need attention from others to verify your own egotistical reality. Anyone who attempts to argue your reality, that you have created for yourself, is an instant enemy, even when they might just be trying to help. When you see others fail, you laugh, and when you fail, you blame everyone else, because admitting guilt would take away all the time and effort you put into yourself. You actually have very low self esteem and put on a facade of caring for others with low self esteem, while also laughing at those you deem less fortunate and less talented and less classy. You can't have a good relationship with someone because you have trouble with the give part, of give and take. Even the women of your dreams would eventually be beneath you as you will see her few mistakes as unworthy of such a perfectionist like you. See I can spout randomness too on a destiny forum. And no one cares what you, or i said here today.

I feel like there needs to be a post to teach people the proper saying, I couldn't care less. Far too many say, I could care less. I assume these are children, but still. It's common sense that quite a few don't seem to have.
