Do u spend a lot time in Venus? They nerfed the hell out of the spawn rate of the adds in the Cosmo. Think that area where u enter the nexus strike is still pretty full though.

That first spawn area at the Cosmodrome is dead as a door nail now.

It is still one of the best places to do the Hive Major bounty.

It is, but the spawn rotation is completely messed up. Sometimes they don't spawn, even if you've cleared every enemy in the vicinity and gone to the other side. I'm unsure how it works now, so just occasionally pop back to it.

Don't forget the other 3 Fallen adds downstairs in the large building...they will prevent the Hive from spawning.

I've killed them and they've not respawned, I've let them live and the hive have respawned and vice versa. I just can't see a pattern to it.

Other people farming the same area will affect the respawn rate if they are too close. I've found people hiding / AFK in the Hive room... All of these things play a part.

Yes agreed. Just doesn't seem so consistent anymore. Never mind, can farm other locations too. Take it easy man.

Wonder why? Maybe they want to ease the newer players in and don't want them immediately gang banged as soon as they show up. They did the same thing in the area with all the busted up planes too.

Mothyards. Haven't stopped off there in months. Used to farm spin metal and chests there in Y1.

The Ember Caves are a great place to do Taken, Fallen, ability kill and specific burn kill bounties. Just run the loop...everything spawns rapidly there. The Citadel is all about the Vex and Taken.
