I'm a Beta/Day 1 player. I rarely post on the forums, I mainly just read them. People quitting strikes has always been an issue, but I've never seen it happen so often until recently. Since the April update & the new strikes were introduced, its become downright silly how much people are quitting Heroic Strikes. I rarely get even ONE strike where no one leaves. I have no issues soloing most (if not all) the strikes, but I don't WANT to solo every strike, & I shouldn't HAVE to solo nearly every strike. Some days its making it damn near impossible to keep a Vanguard streak going. I wish there was some kind of light punishment for the constant quitters, or at least timing people out of playing strikes for a certain amount of time before they are able to start again. We're all grinding & all in the same boat & just because you want to play a certain strike for strike specific gear doesn't make you a special little snowflake. Man up/woman up & play the entire strike like us normal, non-selfish, decent human beings.

Strikes are what I do on Destiny most of the time and to be honest, after the April update, I have had horrible connection issues and more lag than usual. I understand that there are some people who just want to farm specific strikes for gear but those ping bars in the roster are red 50% of the time so connection could be a viable reason for all the d/c.

10 RespuestasEveryone quits: Omnigul Saber Valus ta'aurc Only strikes that seem to take more 10 minutes.
-
Agreed. Bump.
-
I don't quit but seriously the game needs to weight recently completed strikes so they don't pop up again for a round or two. I have been in a group of 3 and had the same strike pop 4 times in a row. They should be able to control that a bit.
-
1 RespuestaSorry :( just sick of doing heroic Omnigul for the 3rd time in a row only to get 2 blues :/
-
I've quit strikes and done the strikes like the taniks and malok, I've gotten both while on a vanguard streak. There is literally no difference on the amount of drops and I've given up on the strike specifics
DO THEY EVEN -blam!-ING DROP?

-
1 RespuestaI almost never quit strikes, but if 3 out of 6 strikes are the undying mind then my body just disagrees to play it again.
-
I feel your pain. I tried to run a few strikes yesterday just to kill time but out of the four i played people left 3 of them and some other just had people who were not participating at all. I missed the good old days where strikes were played for good fun.

What needs to be done and should have been done a long time ago...is to to give us the ability to manually select difficulty levels of all strikes: 1. normal, 2. heroic, 3. nightfall, 4. a harder god tier level. and select normal or taken versions.
-
Yup - definitely noticed this a lot more lately.
-
*Bump* You are not alone in that! Down right dumb, don't join a strike playlist if you are gonna just quit out as soon as a strike starts or sit there and let your team do it. But hey, thug life.
-
If I don't get the strike I want a specific drop from, I change character before the person starts talking. Don't even have to load into the game.
-
bungie should just have a nightfall playlist where we can select whatever max level strike for max level rewards at any pace we want at a ridiculous difficulty level people are quitting because they don't want to waste their damn time in strikes they have done a million -blam!-ing times they want to play the fresh, new strikes that get them fresh, new loot
-
They need to make the strike specific loot either able to drop in all strikes or give each one a specific mission in the game u can get it in as a reward
-
Would you dare say.. Its too damn high?
-
I don't believe in quitting myself. Whatever I get, I will just stay throughout the duration until I get an Exotic Engram. I understand that people have the right to choose what Strikes they want to play. But whenever I'm the only one left in the Fireteam, I'm force to quit as well. It's not that I can't solo the strike. It's just that it's gonna take too long. Maybe how they could fix it is by buffing up the Vanguard Streak buff. Maybe make the Flayers and Omnigul actual Ultras. For those 3oC users, having the Vanguard Streak affects the 3oC buff as well.
-
The rotation sucks, I keep getting SABER and omingul every time! it's crazy. I keep leaving until something different loads.
-
Tell bungie to fix the strikes.
-
Brb gonna select the blighted chalice strike from the directory. Oh wait... I have to play the strike playlist and pray
-
When you add strike specific loot into the mix, that's what you get. Don't hate on people that are simply farming

1 RespuestaLast week, I ran 10 heroic strikes as part of the exotic quest for New Monarchy. Matchmaking put me into about the half the strikes with only 1 other Guardian. The other half of the time, one or two of the other Guardians quit immediately. I understand why people quit. They have every incentive to run strikes quickly and to only run strikes that drop strike specific legendaries. They are not there for the experience, they are there to farm. Unfortunately that's how Destiny works, which is why I rarely run strikes. My recommendations Bungie: - streamline all strikes to optimally be finished in 15 minutes - give the least popular strikes the best rewards (or better yet, don't make strikes players hate) - increase the drop rate of strike specific gear - increase the streak bonus (receiving more engrams was great after The Taken King dropped, but blue and purple engrams are almost worthless now)
-
No. Stop afking. And stop sucking.
-
I got tanik 3 in a row.

1 RespuestaI've had the same strike 5 times in a row. 5 times. Yes sir I went to orbit and took a break.
-
The only Strike I quit is the SABER because I really hate it. I will stay and kill everything in other Strikes.
