I need to rant about this. Almost 2 years and it's really starting to tick me off.
This is [b]THE MOST[/b] [i]repulsive[/i] and truly [i]disgusting[/i] community [b]I've[/b] ever witnessed in a video game.
NO ONE has respect for one another. There is absolutely no integrity.
Everyone believe that they are the best of the best. Almost everyone I've seen has an elitist mentality.
People share an opinion and get completely bashed on by idiots who think they're the best. It's so distasteful.
That is all.

I've met a ton of people who were amazing people in Destiny. However, the number of these people has been diminishing. I'm a solo player nowadays because my clan quit, which requires me to come talk to people on the forums. I'd have no problem, but every time I want to join in on a convo, i see the hate someone with my similar opinion gets, which just refrains me from posting.

PVP seems to be the biggest problem, kids complaining about getting killed by a popular weapon so the cry nerf, a month later another weapon is popular so again they cry nerf at the same time crying for a buff that a month ago they wanted nerfed. And then you get the "git gud scrub" brigade that somehow think their superior k/d means that everything they say is gospel and nobody else's opinion matters. Folk just can't get along and play the game, I paid my money the same as everyone else so I will play the game the way I want to, if it's a big map with nice sniping lanes I'll get my sniper out and hardscope, if it's small I'll get my doctrine and shotty. No f*cks given here. I paid my money how I play is up to me , not the small toxic part that won't be happy until we are all running around with peashooters. Best thing is to ignore that part of the community find a couple of like minded players and just enjoy yourself.

These forums are NOT the community. Not the whole thing anyway. The forums are where the majority of the whiners and 12 year old crybabies and arrogant elitist go. There are some good convos here on the forums. But they are few and far between. The twitch streamer, the youtubers, people on twitter, the podcasts; places like planet destiny. And the people who follow and engage with the youtubers and streamers, that creates conversations about pvp, pve, lore, content ideas, content opinions. Really there's something for every aspect of the game. It's those mini-communites that come together and make the "Destiny Community". And I don't mean that it's just the big names that are the community, I mean them AND all the people that follow and engage with them, all of there followers and small communites. All that is the real destiny community. And it's actually a very vibrant and engaging community. Don't take the forums as your absolute sample. I used to do that and thought it was shit as well. You have to expand out. Follow a streamer and get involved in that community. Or a youtuber. Engage with people who do a podcast. Join a solid clan. You would be suprised. I hope you find something else that will change your opinion of the community. It makes the game much more fun. Good luck my friend.

These forums are pretty brutal. But I've had a great experience forming a clan with cool people. They're out there. About half the people I meet via lfg are also cool. And, if you'd like the forums to be less toxic, maybe post something nice. :)

I don't understand the kids that complain about a gun being op and tell bungie that it needs a nerf. so bungie nerfs it to the ground, and a new weapon fills the gap of being op. its a never ending cycle and no one wins.

A lot of people lurk. This forum [i]IS[/i] toxic. It's been the same posts for two years . With the 'nerf this' or titan/Hunter/warlock special is too OP or the 'I earned my....' . The wider community is generally OK. I've met many people I talk to regularly via destiny, my clan have a whatsapp group who still chat even though we very rarely play together any more. And many more people who are just nice folks enjoying a game in their leisure time. Unfortunately the stupidest people are usually the loudest. LLAP dude

Sorry to hear you've had such a rough go with the community, it's been a totally different experience for me. I've met some awesome people who have become good friends. Sure I've met a few douche's along the way, but I've met way more awesome people. These forums however are full of salt and bitterness, but I'm of the opinion that they are just the loud minority. Keep plugging away and you'll meet some of the good ones

I mainly play with the remaining clan members I [i]do[/i] have, but when I tried to raid with random folks it's never really been a good experience for me. The forums are trash because the main people who post are trolls or folks who think it's cool to be a jerk. There are a few good people on here though, it's rare to come across one.

Most of the players think there good when there shit The forums can be toxic sometimes (don't really spend much time here only in recruitment) but what I have seen so far is what you said people bashing people on opinions. But on that note some of the opinions are just plain stupidity.

The people that cry for nerfs or buffs, and call each other scrubs for any available amount of reasons are trash. I have gotten past it and found some cool people here.
