He sets them down and goes to examine the sphere.
"Who are you?"
English
-
Varn. You know, the guy who made a lot of stuff for people before? I just got out of sleep mode:
-
"I've heard of you, why are you in a ball?"
-
I just got out of sleep mode. I turn into a ball to conserve power. Can you put your hand on me real quick? Just need the DNA recognition. Can't get out of this [BEEP]ing ball any other way.
-
He does so, hesitantly.
-
Now stand back.
-
He stepped back and folded his arms, watching the sphere in the dim light.
-
It slowly unfolded into a humanoid shape, colored blue and red. His joints glow with blue light. Feels so good to not be in that ball!
-
"Well, how'd you come to be in that situation?"
-
I automatically go into sleep mode when not interacted with within two months. Unless I turn it off.
-
"You were here for two months? Doing what?"
-
Making that A.I. chip.
-
"Does it work?"
-
Yes.
-
"Let's see them then, is there some way to activate them?"
-
We need a computer.
-
"My armor has an A.I. Port of that will work."
-
The A.I. is... Clingy. It won't leave wherever it enters unless we force it. Which is very hard.
-
"Why'd you design a clingy A.I.? And what's it's name?"
-
It hasn't been named yet, and the reason it's clingy is because it has feelings of its own. You don't just program personality into an A.I.
-
"Well, Viola would kill me if I plugged another A.I. Into the ship and couldn't get it out. I'm sure if I pulled it from my armor it would have no choice but to leave."
-
Varn looks surprised. Ship? Which ship? And you know Viola?
-
"The NTR Shield, and of course I know Viola, she's the A.I. for the shield, I'm the first officer."
-
When'd that happen? Didn't she used to be in a body? And also, we can pull it out, it just wouldn't like it.
-
"A little while ago, she was in the ship, she has her body again. It will have to get over it, but likely I wouldn't need to remove it for awhile, seeing as it has nowhere else to go."
-
Okay. So, where is the NTR now?
