The answer is no, it included all forms of advanced weaponry so stop misenforming america you filthy hippies. In this video he explains how it not only covered artillery, but it also supported the assault weapons that already existed. He has sources backing his video so don't tell me youtube isn't a source.

2 RespuestasI completely agree, and the fact that the government contradicts themselves by not letting me own a nuclear explosive or radioactive material is absurd. We need to overturn such unconstitutional rights, because that's what the paper says.
-
1 RespuestaSo if I wanted to own a nuclear device, you're saying it should be unconstitutional to dent my that right?
-
1 RespuestaThe second amendment was for people to hang bear arms on their walls.

4 RespuestasEditado por ClusiveC: 4/30/2016 5:18:33 PMYeah... Assault weapons, artillery, and rifles.... of the 19th century...

4 RespuestasEditado por Racebum: 4/29/2016 5:13:46 PMActually you would be surprised. Read the ruling on felon in possession. This is one of the most important cases on the Second Amendment we have ever seen. They ruled exactly that. The argument was the founding fathers could not foresee the Firearms we currently have. There is no constitutional ground to prevent felons from owning Firearms. none. The way that ruling went is by saying that there was no way the founding fathers would have been able to see modern society and modern firearms. That was ruled by the Supreme Court in the sixties. That's already on the books. The reason that should scare the hell out of all you gun rights advocates is because it would take very little to use the same arguments on everyone else. The only reason I think we have not seen it happen is because the government fears the backlash. Believe me they are looking for ways to make it happen

5 RespuestasHahahaha. Look, dude, I like guns just as much as the next person. But if Obama wanted your Xbox do you really think your "arsenal" is going to stop him? How sad it must be to constantly live in fear of everything that doesn't look or talk like you. Keep living in that paranoia thinking the world's out to get you.
-
15 RespuestasFrom what I have seen on this site and others, the main reason so many Americans want guns is fear. Fear of criminals, fear of terrorists, and just fear in general. I may be wrong. Most of you will probably disagree. I'm expecting a response from ghost along the lines of 'actually, our military is pre WW2'. But that's what I've gotten from all of the many arguments/debates I have read. Do with my observation as you will. I can't help but wonder why the fear is so high.

15 RespuestasWhy do you need a gun? Seriously.
-
17 RespuestasPeople don't know why the second amendment was put in place. It was put in place so that the populous could overthrow the government at any time.
-
1 RespuestaWow because the founding fathers surely thought that every redneck would own military grade weapons.
-
Even if it only covered muskets, you could still customize a musket... if you're good with your hands
-
Im pretty sure it was for literal bear arms
-
11 RespuestasIt meant for firearms that were equal to those used by the military. Because part of the reason for having them was for the people to be able to suppress a tyrannical government. However we are not able too own Miniguns so I guess that didn't happen. But now they don't even want us to own basic semi-automatic rifles. Whatever.
-
don think hey had the things we have today in mind though
-
11 RespuestasDoes this mean I can get a flamethrower? This is a serious question I really want one
-
1 RespuestaYou really don't know how to make a well structured argument.
-
3 RespuestasIf it was only for muskets then I'd say keep the second amendment, they're awesome because they give you time to calm down.
-
1 RespuestaGood post
-
Right to bear arms *hands severed bear arms/legs* well there's that
-
2 RespuestasIt was the right to have arms attached to your torso. Before, with the articles of confederation, it was unclear whether or not Americans would have to give up their limbs.
-
1 RespuestaAre you saying you think the average American should be able to purchase arty? Because I refuse to let my neighbor Dan have a freakin howitzer barrel hanging over onto MY PROPERTY! I TOLD YOU TO TRIM THAT TREE DAN!
-
3 RespuestasAn expert in American usage of English confirms that the 2nd amendment is essentially unconditional. It does not mean muskets only, it does not imply you must be part of a militia, or any of those other ridiculous interpretations anti-gun lobbyists spout.

1 RespuestaI'm fairly certain the second amendment was meant only for slingshots.
