It's easier they said...
With the April update it was supposedly easier to get a higher light level, cause "there are different ways to do it"
Well 2 weeks into it and my Titan moved from *drum roll* 309 to 311 *claps*
Yeah I don't see it easier, infusion got better but what is the purpose of it, if every single drop stays on the good ol' 270-290 I've gotten 3 engrams out of 30 above 290 (299,308 and 313)
Well -blam!-, lies once more, plus now snipers/shotguns have less ammo cause PvP crybabies and the supposed increased drop rate on ammo due clip reduction doesn't explain why I've been running strikes with empty special and empty heavy (try doing Alak-hul now, I dare you to go with TLW)
Yes, I'm salty, no IDC, I wanna state my salty opinion cause April update messed things up worse than TTK release did...
EDIT 1: thanks for all your positive and the not so positive feedback, didn't expect my salty post would get a single response
EDIT 2: thanks for the feedback about maxing light but no one speaks about the reduced special/heavy ammo drops

319 to 333. All characters minimum 328.

One 312 and two sub-310's and all above 331 at the same time. No raids run. You can do it.

It will happen. You just have to keep playing. Before the update my highest light was 311 (I don't really raid at all). Two weeks into it, all 3 are 330+, topping out at 332. My advice, farm CoE with 3oC. Put on your highest light gear before the postgame rewards, turning in packages and decrypting engrams. If anything rolls higher than what you have on, infuse or equip it before decrypting/turning in anything else. It's worth noting that Ive spent maybe 6 or so hours total doing the challenge. Most of my time is spent in PvP. It will come quickly, count on it. Good luck, Guardian!

Have you even been playing? If you leveled up in your faction, vanguard or crucible, you'll get items to help you increase your light. Decrypting any exotics drop at a higher light. Playing 41 poe can drop blue items at a higher light than your character. 42 poe can help. Both normal and hard KF raid can help you level up.

Dude it's not hard at all, I went from 290 to 329 on my hunter I had a lock and titan but I deleted them. Just ran up your faction/vanguard/crucible you either get a weapon or gear with higher light, do CoE it's the best way to get gear with high light.

You're clearly playing the game wrong if you only moved up 2 light levels. That's not even an insult, it's simply a fact. Read the long April update post and learn what activities earn you better gear. Based on your 2 light level increase, I'd have to assume you're literally just running heroics over and over and not even using 3oC.

I went from 314 to 328 in a week without raiding....maybe your doing something wrong!!

all you dumb ass needs to do is rank up factions. put on your highest gear and turn in some motes. the items that drop from the factions follow the "higher than you are now" plan. i went from 319 to 328 on all 3 characters doing that and the raid. its so much easier now. just learn how to play the game to your advantage instead of crying about it.

Have you been doing Poe? The elder sigil gives you a weapon and armor once a week, usually at 5-6 light higher than you're currently at. You also have a chance at getting a Poe exotic from challenge mode, again dropping at 5-6 light higher than your current level. Opening engrams and faction (including vanguard and crucible) packages is the same thing. Make sure you are wearing your highest gear when opening, because your reward should drop at 5-6 higher. I got a 322 chest while 317 from dead orbit, and a 324 fusion from future war cult while 319. Hope this helps.

You don't do what you have to do... My hunter got from 317 to 334, my warlock from 314 to 334 and my titan from 311 to 333 in just 2 weeks...

You clearly are not playing end game activities, Engrams will still be normal levels except Exotic. Play raids COE ect to get more High level gear.
