Three of coins and their effect on the game
When I thought of making this post I knew it would be judged differently. Which is why I am making it. So in the post I will be addressing a problem some people have on the 3oc and their current effect on the game right now. I will start of by saying that in my opinion, three of coins are one of the worst things in Ttk. The reason I am saying this is because they revolve around xur and strange coins. This would not be a problem if they were not sold by a vendor that stayed for two days. This could be fixed by maybe being sold by a different vendor. But they could maybe be buffed to about 8-10 strange coins. Now the problem is that you cannot always have a chance of getting exotics. It goes something like this, Oh, you're out of 3oc? To bad. You've done the nightfall and can't get legendaries? Ok you'll just have to wait a week:). You do not have another chance to get exotics once out of 3oc or done with the nightfall. This makes me miss the days when you would do 30 matches of crucible and get the ice breaker. Back then you did not have to worry about when your current chances of getting exotics are over. Whenever you saw that reward screen and you didn't get your ice breaker you just thought, maybe next time. But each time you use a 3oc and get nothing you for some reason, feel a sense of anger and hatred for the game. Or at least I do. This was just a few of the reasons why I strongly dislike three of coins. If you have and opinions you can put them in replies but please be polite with it.

Yeah um... That's not how getting exotics worked in year one. It was: here let me play 400 games of crucible and oh look, the guy on the bottom has gotten an exotic every 5 games I play.

I do the daily bounties on all 3 guardians and work on taken bosses on select planets. Using the 3ocs, I get at least 3 exotics a week. I've gotten 2 exotics in one kill twice. I don't see a big problem. Buy enough 3ocs to last a week or borrow from another guardian. Patrol, play the taken and they will come more often than you think.

They're not dropping a exotic with every use as they damn near were when they first came out, it's still up to chance, just as it was before there were 3oC. It's still not guaranteed. Xur is here every weekend selling things for the strange coins you get while you're playing. Xur is on a set schedule. He does not deviate from that schedule. Bungie is a company based out of the west coast of the US, the game operates on western US time schedule, it has been for over a year and a half. Unless it is a Bungie error or serious system(PS/MS)which limits ppl from seeing him, which there have been in the past, Bungie will extend his visit. If you're complaining that you can't visit Xur in the 48hours that he is available then the problem with getting 3oC is with you not the game. Also, I don't know where you're getting this "play 30 matches of crucible and get your IB" that shit was never guranteed. Only guranteed exotics came from the bounties, everything else was either sold or dropped by chance from a nightfall. Just like the Ghorn that dropped for me from a tiger strike 2 months after the game dropped. Shit was just luck. Now that Bungie has put a way to increase our luck and you think it's a bad thing??? Dafq is wrong with you?? Go grind w/o 3oC and come back and tell us how many exotics drop for you.

i made the mistake of burning through them already. people are in such a rush to reach maxed level. use some gain some levels wait a day use some more. people be like im not 335 fast enough 3oC should be easier to acquire to get faster.

5 RespuestasI for one dont mind the 3 of coins... my current issue though is the fact that i have burned through 60 of them in three days and ive only had 3 exotics drop (none of which were from strikes) The recent tweak bungie did to the 3oC is ridiculous and the fact that approx 35 strikes is equal to NO engrams is crazy surely my RNG luck must get better soon

My problem with posts like this, despite how well meaning it is, is that people just don't get the simple fact that Bungie have structured the game to keep you coming back each week. If you play the game on Bungie's terms you will feel the grind. If you balance your life with playing the game then you don't feel the grind anywhere near as much.

3 RespuestasWho In the hell liked playing 30 matches of crucible for even a very small chance of an exotic I can guarantee you it was much more then 30 games btw but seriously 5 hours of crucible for maybe an exotic or 15 minutes for a pretty much guaranteed one from poe with 3-5 3oc...

Xur is here for more than enough time. It takes less than five minutes to log on and visit him. I work 15 hours Friday and Saturday as well as 12 on Sunday and still find a few minutes to get on and purchase stuff from him
