How about it bungie, can we get an exclusive shader based on verified honorable service to our countries. A shader that looks like the uniforms we wear or wore since every branch has a different camouflage pattern. Perhaps even get this shader identifying if we retired or not. It would be amazing.
Hell I'd be fine if this was a veterans day only event; meaning the shader was only wearable on veterans day.

1 RespuestaUgh. As a veteran myself, please stop asking for free stuff. Makes the rest of us look bad.

Editado por MandoTHX1138: 4/30/2016 5:06:07 PMLong line of military service in my family. Rewards are better up to governments, not game developers. I get the sentiment, but Im Australian and dont ask others to understand our service. I dont think its up to Bungie to accommodate this. I did however enjoy Bungie's involvement in charity.....hence why I bought the Nepal Earthquake package. My warlock still rocks the emblam and shader. I would support more of that direction.

2 RespuestasBad idea. We need to keep real world "factions" out of the game. And yes I'm a US military veteran and not a GI hater.

9 RespuestasEditado por XMCriminal: 4/27/2016 6:27:34 PMAre you serious? The first thing you learn in any basic training in any branch of the military is that it's a selfless service. Why the hell do you need to be appreciated or even acknowledged by anyone? Moreover, why the hell are you asking to be acknowledged for a service you volunteered for? It's not like you were drafted and had no choice. Appreciated for what? For deploying for 9-12 months and then coming back home for a year if not longer? If anyone bearing a uniform should be appreciated, it should be cops, they step in the line of fire every single time they put on that uniform where as the only time military steps in the line of fire is when they go to war which isn't an every day thing and if you happen to go to war and you are lucky enough to come back, you get a nice long year break(8months at best) of not having to get shot at. Put on the damn broadsword shader and call it a day. If that's not good enough, put on your uniform and walk through an airport. You'll get all the attention you desire. Edit: before anyone starts going apeshit saying my post is rude and that I should join and walk a mile in their shoes, I have, multiple miles in fact. Two 13 month deployments to Afghanistan with a airborne infantry unit where I was injured several times and received a Purple Heart. Not once did I ask for acknowledgment or a thank you for my service record. Jus so you know before you start throwing salt my way and start with the "you're a hater" bullshit.

1 RespuestaThis is a game. No special treatment. If we give you a special shader, then we have to give LGBT members, special shaders. Then Christians, then catholics, like you see the pattern? Everyone is just going to ask for something. They don't feel like caring to everyone's specific needs.

8 RespuestasA shader that shows your branches uniform and a emblem that shows your position in that branch

Awful idea. Firstly it's not just yanks who play this game, so are we doing this for every country. My Grandad Walther plays this game regularly, I got him into it. He'll be thrilled to bits when you release the SS shader, for him and his few remaining brothers, any chance you can include a blood group tattoo under the arm? Secondly why to you need a constant pat on the back, it was a job, you were paid, your owed nothing and deserve no special treatment.

2 RespuestasThat's a great idea , prolly along with salute emote , to honor the veterans just on the game , that'd be awesome !
-
It's video game not real life. Let's keep em separate.

46 RespuestasI wrote a really long comment to this and all the haters, but I will make it simple. If you can not get behind your Military and support them, then get in front of them and try catching a bullet for you country by volunteering. Military members regardless of country have earned there rights and ARE entitled. What have you done to earn your place in your sociaty. All Military members, of all countries, I salute you for your dedication to your country.

Why not
I'm not American and I completely agree
Sounds near, but no need to limit it to veterans if it's about appreciation. Non muricans gonna complain though.

5 RespuestasI agree this should be done yesterday Thank you to all our military forces

2 RespuestasMilitary is something you thank them for standing up to do what we will not do but for real this is a little far and not all military is on the line my grandpa was a dentist in the Air Force my point not all of the people are people who put them selves on line of duty I do appreciate my grandpa for the record but my point is not all Military is as special as you think it is

1 RespuestaThere are a lot of military branches in he world. It's a little much to make stuff to appreciate all if them.

Work better as emblems

6 RespuestasAll the military haters, here is my ultimate opinion put into one line of speech.

3 RespuestasBungie shouldn't disgrace any military in that fashion. This game is terrible.
-
4 RespuestasI think that would be a fantastic thing for Bungie to do. Blue and Silver for the Air Force. Blue and Gold and White for the Navy. Green and Gold for the Army and Blue,Gold and Red for the USMC. Of course the coolest of the four would the USMC shader. All other branches wish their uniforms looked as sweet as the Marines dress blues with blood stripe.

1 RespuestaEditado por BDStrong: 4/25/2016 11:31:46 PMI have seen a lot of posts about service members using the military to distinguish themselves from others. They say soldiers put themselves on a pedestal and want praise for serving. I am here to say that I don't wear my uniform any longer than I have to in public for that reason. I don't want the attention. I don't want the looks, the praises, or occasional "appreciate your service". I had my own reasons for signing. In the US 1% of Americans join the military, each for their own reasons. There may be attention seekers but that stereotype is by for an minuscule portion of the service men and women. I am just like you. I just made a different life decision. Sorry to get so deep about this. But you don't have to respect the military or the uniform. But respect the person in it. That person may not be here tomorrow and in a way they died saving you and the freedoms you enjoy
