Current State of The Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game

I'm a generation 1 player of this game that is wondering if anyone on here plays it as well and what they're opinion of the Current State of the game is since they've added Synchro, XYZ, and Pendulum summons to it. My opinion is that XYZ summons ruined the game, and Pendulum summons made it worse. I was fine with Synchro since those can still be easily countered, but a lot of XYZ monsters can only be countered by certain types of card effects or effects that target XYZ specifically. I haven't played against Pendulum yet, but I have seen some duels and I just hate it. No card game should EVER be able to be ended in 2 to 3 turns combined between players. So if there are any other players out there let me know what you think or we can just talk about the game itself if you use to play, but don't anymore. Edit to clarify my Stance on YuGiOh Generations. Or the Card types in each Generation based off of what I've seen. Gen 1- Fusions and Monsters with Basic Card Effects. Gen 2- Rituals with/without effects, Fusions with effects, and Monsters with Basic Card Effects Gen 3- Ritual/effect, Fusion/effect, Monsters with Chain effects/Summons(GX Gen) Gen 4- Synchro Summons, Ritual/effect, Fusion/effect, Monster/Chain Effect(5Ds Gen) Gen 5-XYZ Summons, Syn, Rit/eff, Fus/eff, Mon/C Eff(Zexal Gen) Gen 6- Pendulum Summons, XYZ, Syn, Rit/eff, Fus/eff, Mon/ C Eff(Arc-V Gen) I'm fully aware that a lot of these overlap(like the Chain Effects amd chain summons had been around already, but got bigger with GX Gen) and I know that I'm missing a Gen or 2 due to me being out of the game for a few years. If you know of any more let me know.
