Gonna make this short.
Microtransactions and DLC have been the biggest hatred of Gamers since the dawn of "robbing gamers of their money by under-handed tactics" was invented.
Every few months, Bungie and Activision push closer and closer to Pay To Win, or Pay To Advantage. And every few months, the hatred for Eververse Purchasers continue to rise.
A lot of people think they are cool, and supportive because they spent 20 to 50 dollars on Sterling Treasure to get Full Taken and/or Full Spektar.
But in reality, both on the forums, and in-game, they are getting murdered socially for helping in the greed and brutality of Bungie and Activision making the game come ever more near to hand-over-fork microtransactions.
What are your thoughts, forum?

It doesn't hurt anyone but the game itself. I have no issues with people buying cosmetic gear (kinda dumb when it's "end game" gear though). My issue with micro transactions is that Bungie has been slowly adding more and more to it. Clearly making it more prominent, and the question is, when will it stop? Compare Eververse now to what it was like when it was first introduced. Money talks. No matter how much forum hate or whatever goes around, if they are making more money than DLC packs from micro transactions, it will continue and only get bigger. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Destiny 1 went free to play when Destiny 2 comes out. Also I think time would have been much better spend working on a smaller dlc pack, than SRL and Crimson doubles, which aren't even permanent.

The forums have spoken You are wrong Git gud?

3 RespuestasOk the thing with this is A. The people who buy silver are supporting the game B. Lots of people just buy emotes, e.g. No gameplay affected C. Even if they do buy the treasure boxes, to get the armor to endgame you still need to HAVE endgame armor to infuse it with, e.g. I infused a 300 exotic into my Desolate Grips so that I can use them. D. They're not hurting anyone! It's not like those armors are better than what you can find, and you get a certain amount of them per week anyway. (4?) So for the love of god, quit whining about it.

Focus on "gonna make this short"
-
They're helping bungie raise money for the next dlc and destiny 2. People know the risk and with that being said you are responsible for your purchases. Technically it's helping the game.
-
Just shows bungie they don't have to make something worthwhile to get a paycheck
-
29 RespuestasI really don't care either way, I just feel sorry for the chumps who spend enough to buy a whole new game or 2 just to get a new outfit. They've been hooked by an addiction that isn't healthy.
-
Its not bad at the moment, but it is going in the direction of pay-to-win. It was supposed to be just emotes. Now we have armor and boosters. What's next?

1 RespuestaThere is the argument I'm seeing plenty, that because micro transactions are currently doing so well that Bungie don't need to make fresh content. That they can just make money off us with this kind of content we're getting right now. But the thing is, what were they planning if micro transactions didn't take off? Would we be playing a HoW size DLC right now? Or was it their plan to only want to release sizable content from now on, like TTK. Would it be what we're getting now, until those larger DLC's are ready, or nothing at all?
-
1 RespuestaIt doesn't make any difference. If you look at things like mobile gaming where paying for rubbish is more common, it's something like 90% of revenue from 10% of player Base. If that translates to console then so what.
-
1 RespuestaWe could always just pay a monthly subsciption fee. Until then if they want to do micro transactions for extra income as opposed to a monthly fee, I'll take the micros option. I haven't bought any and I still log on everyday for free.
-
I don't think it's doing anyone any harm to buy silver.

Editado por Gideon VI: 4/24/2016 12:05:12 AMThe 1696 retards who think overpriced micro-transactions are helping Destiny are the cancer killing video games. Giving your money to Activision for worthless virtual items just shows that you're willing to shell out your money for anything.
-
The money made from micro transactions goes straight to the investors for Activision, all this talk about it funding future content is nonsense. The money made from the base game funds future dlc and the next full fledged game. Go do your research before you waste your money.
-
Micro transactions give money, the money goes to bungie, bungie uses money to make more stuff, therefore if people buy micro transactions they're just helping out a bit.
-
There's nothing wrong with putting that type of stuff in the game and they did it right by putting the armour at light level 3 and making you sacrifice a piece of gear you have earnt into it, the problem will come when you have to pay for a piece of gear/weapon you carnt get unless you pay. I ain't doin that, you can keep it.

4 RespuestasI'd like to get that occasionally free silver I was promised.
-
5 RespuestasThe money from the last batch of silver went to the live team, but what did they spend that money on? New content? No. A fancy new Twitch Studio is where the money went. How did that manage to slip by unnoticed?
-
1 RespuestaEditado por Artemis007: 4/23/2016 2:46:57 PMI hardly bought any silver but if people want to spend their money on it then that's fine by me. With how much they are rolling in the dough the expansion in the fall better be phenomenal.
-
I spent $10 during the SRL and $20 on this expansion. Hardly a lot of money when you consider the hours I have put into this game.
-
9 RespuestasSo far it's hurting the game. I haven't seen any significant improvements since TTK and the microtransactions. Y1 is, by far, better than Y2.

17 RespuestasEditado por ViVaAlXxNdeR: 4/22/2016 3:23:30 PMIt's for losers who need to spend money to get ahead. Also it's not helping anything it's just Going to make the company greedy and it's only a matter of time before it's pay to play because virgin losers spend 100s$ to get shit that doesn't even matter, only to complain In a week that they have everything and are bored or to complain that they spend mad $$ and didn't get what they wanted. -blam!- you losers!
-
Only downside I see to this model is the development time being spent on creating all these micro transaction events, I'd honestly just rather have paid dlc. These free updates like the April one could be funded by the transactions but I still want new content
-
If you don't think increased revenue for a game like this is a good thing, you dont understand business.
-
6 RespuestasI'll keep spending a little here and there so don't worry. All you tight fisted money poor little kids will still get new updates and content thanks to the rest of us. You're welcome. #supportpoorgamers
