I already know there will be unhappy sunbreakers coming to this maybe if this thread attracts attention.

Most Sunbreakers and some others have complained or stated that the class is absolutely shit now. Many have described it as "unplayable" "weak af" or even "shit".
Well for one the subclass isn't "shit", its balanced to some of the others. The reason the butthurt is so real right now is because most sunbreakers got used to the overpowered greatness they had when TTK came out. The class was completely broken in every aspect as much as others would like to argue against that claim.
They have the burn time long af
Hammers that are self explanatory...they were op in different ways
Tracking
Healing
The agility was real af
And the freaking armour
Lets not forget those days but use them as an example of what Bungie did wrong.
Everyone in the forums screamed for a nerf to the dang thing. For the armour to be lessened or the hammers to be.
Now titans and very few others are trying to get them back into that messed up version.
Let me note not all titans want this
Anyways it should stay put where it is. Think about it if they buff the titans again there will be problems with a subclass like maybe golden gun or sunsinger.
Also people like to bring in stuff like "Stormcaller wrecks sunbreaker!" Or "Golden gun devastates sunbreaker!!!"
First off stormcaller doesn't wreck the individual, the player did because stormcaller is on a level playing field. Same with golden gun. Every super has their advantages and disadvantages.
Example: Golden Gun- Adv is that it's devastating shot is a one shot kill and can destroy bubbles in two shots. Disadv is that its only got three shots in total at default and you need to have great accuracy.
Sunbreakers had too many advantages and not enough disadvantages to keep it steady.
Now people want a buff like more damage or better armour. Also faster throw time or better accuracy or bring the tracking back at its beginning.
The sunbreaker is fine and I've seen all the posts and seen all the suggestions and arguements stating that it requires a buff.
No, you need to get use to your subclass just like everyone else did with theirs. Learn to use it at the right moment and when someone uses there super and kills you don't blame it on poor design choices, if anything blame it on your poor tactics.

The only problem is actually a universal problem with everything which is hit detection.
[b]Update 2[/b]: the super requires skill just like every other in the game. Use tactics, lower your expectations if needed, and be smart. If so you may <if you're actually good with it> see a difference in performance. If not maybe sunbreaker just isn't for you. Bladedancer isn't my cup of tea.
[b]Update 3[/b]: if Bungie were to improve sunbreaker by only making it better in PVE then Im completely fine with their decisions. But if it affects PVP just plain no thanks.

2 RespuestasIm a sun breaker main and it does not need a buff at all. Anyone who wants to argue ill be ready to because I've most likely used it more than anyone else. Even since and before the nerf it has been the only subclass I use for pve and pvp. I usually get like 2-4 kills per activation and its neutral game is pretty good. People just don't know how to aim. The only thing it needs is for sunspots to do more damage in pve.

7 RespuestasEditado por king199780: 4/21/2016 10:33:47 PMOK...so you say that everyone were crying for nerf on the sunbreakers because they were op...bungie listened..but not only did they nerf the armor which was the mostly requested feature to be toned down, BUT they nerfed the following...Dot on melee,reduced travel speed,reduced tracking,nerfed cautarize (which is funny to consider they gave voidwalkers that ability now to its fullest) and they reduced the damage based on the distance of the hammer...NO ONE and I mean NO ONE was specifically saying nerf the tracking or cautarize...the only reason cautarize was great with the super it's because it had a lot of armor...70% of the nerf to sunbreakers was not only unneeded bit it broke the class not only in the super department with the hit ditection (due to the nerf on the blast radius and not adjasting the proximity )but their neutral game which was counting on cautarize to keep them into battle...in the end..just see on the "nerfs" on the warlocks and then the nerf that dropped sunbreaker...it's OK now when it works(hit dittection ) but...it makes me use striker for the most part due to the inconsistencies

1 RespuestaI feel they were over nerfed but at the same time I understand why bungie did what they did. They just need to now address the issue that came with the nerf. Hit detection is out of wack all around and proximity detonation procs too early sometimes

The only problem they need to really fix is hit detection and possibly increase the proximity of the hammers a bit. Otherwise to me it's balanced.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but... Suncharge is all I need. One-shots any super, and if I'm fast, I get six of 'em.

The problem with the neutral game is that the melee also has problems with hit registration. I don't think it needs any buffs, but the hit registration should be fixed. Also on Bladedancer melee, Arcblade, Shoulder Charge, and Striker and Defender melees.
