With Destiny 2 launching in 2017, players of the current game can expect a new expansion to release this year. And now we may know exactly when that expansion will release, thanks to a clue uncovered by Destiny fans (via Eurogamer).
Reddit user Rezyl Azzir posted a walkthrough on how to find a new Grimoire lore card only 16 minutes after said update went live--this would have required the player to download the update, complete a Prison of Elders run, and post about it in that time. The walkthrough detailed where players could find the new piece of lore, which contained information about a character named Rezyl Azzir--you can see the card for yourself here.
The Reddit user's account and post was eventually deleted, but other users found a previously posted Latin message from Azzir, which translated to "The twentieth day of the ninth month. IT is coming. Forward, to the stars." If the message is legitimate, it seems that players can expect something on September 20, which seems likely to be the next big expansion. Both Destiny and The Taken King released in September of their respective years.
The Darkness is IT in the mysteries grimoire about how Rasputin lowered the shields, shrugging off billions, to learn how to beat the Darkness. We know the next game's project name is "Shattered Suns" (TTK was Dark Plague) and we are siding deeper with Osiris- the Lighthouse already being built to house a tower like system of vendors. So what can we infer? The Darkness probably arrives in its purest form and devastates some stuff, propelling the story foward. We then need to learn to harness the Light in its purest form, by accessing the brightest light (the brightest light exists in the darkest corners, and your eyes connect within yourself to deep pools of pure light). Shattered Suns probably means "the death of light" more than losing our actual sun, so maybe the Tower gets attacked? We then learn our new powers from Osiris and go on to fight the new bad guy.

September 20th is the day before FF15.... The plot thickens.

Read Ghost Fragment: Mysteries It refers to something immensely powerful as "IT" Coincidence?

4 RespuestasThis ghost was interesting, but also slightly irritating. I counted the word Rezyl 41 times. 41. It read like unedited fan fiction.

Until proven I will treat it as speculation, anyone could have guessed the next expansion comes out in September based off Bungie saying it will release in the fall, TTK launched in September and September is when the PlayStation exclusives are given to Xbox

3 RespuestasGo to Reddit there are a few good theories going around. Don't bother here unless you want to Nerf something

4 RespuestasIt seems to make sense. I remember in the Weekly Update it mentioned that the Spring Update would be the last big content drop before the paid expansion dropped sometime in the fall. It was either in the Weekly Update or somewhere else I read.

1 RespuestaAre you referring to talking about the character himself, his new bit of lore, or the possible date for new expansion/update?... he's never been talked about much as it was even though he's thought to be the first guardian.
