If you are playing against people that make it easy to close the gap with a shotgun on every encounter, you are not playing very good people.

Playing against good people makes everything difficult. I'm not sure what your point is.

My point is your comment doesn't make any sense. Just because someone is "good" does not make everything inherently more difficult. A general primary battle for example, is generally decided by whose aim is more true. The fact that my opponent may be better than I am, do not make aiming more difficult. Closing the gap, catching them off with a shotgun on the other hand, is a different story. You have to be smart about engaging.
