Game comes out just 2 months (I believe) and man at first I wasn't really on board with it, but hearing how big the game world is gonna be. I can't see a reason not to get it

The game looks like it will be horrible and boring.
-
Now if only we could build on all those planets and reliably interact with other players.
-
ITT: People too lazy to look up info on the game complain that no info has been released.
-
1 RespuestaThe problem with a world that large is it's bound to be repetitive. The planets you discover are just going to be a duce roll difference from another one. I'd be willing to wager that at some point you'll find a planet where the only difference it from another is the grass is purple. The concept is rather neat, but it can only carry something so far.

Dont overhype or itll flop

13 RespuestasAnd less interesting than Minecraft. An impressive feat.
-
4 RespuestasI'm wondering if the world actually does have an end, because it has a -blam!- ton of planets but is there a border?
-
Its going to be a lot more niche than people expect. There will be explosive sales thanks to the hype, but I expect many will be left cold and the retained playerbase (whilst substantial) wont reflect those initial sales. ANYWAY thats only my prediction, and its good that the developers of Elite will doubtless cherrypick some of their mechanics. This game will leave its mark for sure!

6 RespuestasSo it's the same size as Minecraft?
-
It looks great. I can see why some players wouldn't like the freedom that it has, I mean the fact that there is no set 'quest' or 'task' that you are sent to do. I, personally, can't wait for this game but you people need to stop acting like it is for everybody. No game is for everybody and no game ever will.

2 Respuestaswith how big it is, i hope there is some sort of bizarre secret in it... kinda like tryig to solve the answer to silent hills pt.
-
1 RespuestaI have never heard of that game.
-
7 RespuestasLarge does not mean good.
-
7 RespuestasA huge vast wasteland of procedurally generated crap. Bet you
-
BY FAR NOTHING COMES CLOSE We are talking about light years of game space. All generated as you travel, but still insane
-
It'll be a niche game. Though there are probably a lot of people with misconceptions about what it'll be. Hopefully the people that get it like it, but I won't be one of them.

Editado por E x i l e D: 4/22/2016 8:03:58 PM18 Quintiliion planets in a randomized algorithm. I'll probably find 6 since I'll be on them for so long.
-
7 RespuestasWe don't know how it pairs up to Elite Dangerous yet.

1 RespuestaSo big that over 2/3rds of the size is redundant. There is no benefit to a game being that big, so I'm not sure why people get worked up over it. Especially since its all procedurally generated. The game could be 1 one thousanth of its current size and it would still take more than a lifetime to explore.
-
Big world, nothing in it.
-
2 RespuestasMinecraft and destiny had a baby I see.

1 RespuestaI don't see the appeal of the size of the world. They advertise that it will take something like a quintillion years to explore but why does anything after the first 100 or so hours even matter? I would much rather a small world that's created by hand than a massive one that's created by an algorithm.
-
1 RespuestaMy bet is that it will die 3 months after release
