I wrote this paper for a class, and I wanted to know what everyone thinks of it. It is/was in MLA format, but I did make some modifications to keep various identities hidden. I have cited all of my sources, and if needed, I can provide links to them directly. Any advice would be welcome.
Edit:
I have added an opening paragraph to explain the topic a bit before I get to deep into the Lore.
English
#Destiny

Editado por KayOsS882: 4/21/2016 6:06:49 PMI want a hive, cabal, or fallen guardian. Hive, fallen, or cabal decided that they are tired of what they are doing to other planets so they fight against their own kind. Randal the vandal will rekt Oryx! Four arms each holding a different weapons.

Editado por Rezyl Azzir: 4/21/2016 5:38:25 PMThat was very interesting... I have always felt like I was stuck in a Vex crested time loop, but a simulation makes way more sense, given we all perform the same exact missions...and have the same goal, to destroy the darkness, but not without motivation, protect the last city, and the Travelers corpse... It's no surprise that powerful warriors were sought out, specifically because of the "Hero" complex we all have rooted in our very being... As always, I enjoy learning from others interpretations of the lore... Well done! Edit I also believe the Traveler is the darkness, the black garden is inside of the traveler, and we destroyed its heart...slowing the recovery process, and I believe everything we have done, we were led to do...by the vex, and the stranger is an ambassador of the vex...

3 RespuestasI hate this kind of cop out story explanation that goes, "it's been a simulation the whole time!" However, it's a well written essay save for a few spelling errors.

1 RespuestaOut of curiosity, what class was this? If I wrote an essay about video game fiction, my teachers wouldn't even bother to read it.
-
1 RespuestaBut it would need to simulate our teammates who also rose in the same spot

1 RespuestaThis is quite amazing and makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. But I have one thing in my mind. This may sound stupid, But If Quira can Just make atheon, wouldn't it be able to over run oryx with a army of Atheons and Gatekeepers? Yes that may sound stupid, but in the end this lore continues in ways that our minds would run free. Quira predicted that us, the lost hope, would save the last city and conquer oryx. So as you said it could've been a simulation of what she thought would happen. 1) Kill Atheons Minons. 2) Kill Atheon 3) Kill Oryxs Minons. this my free mind can think of 2 things. This IS a simulation because it is in a order of killing things as Quira thought. Next: Maybe you are battling Atheon and he takes you back from the start. FIRST I HAVENT READ ANY LORE SO YEAH.

6 RespuestasPretty fricken solid dude, nice work. Thus does actualy raise another topic story wise too. In the books of sorrow when quaria attempted to simulate oryx in varrying forms these simulations all rebeled against quaria and broke their programming and became independant. If your theory is correct, and we combine it with both this and another peice of guardian lore.
this lore revealing that gaurdians due to our light are effectivley para-causal beings, in essence this means we exists outside standard laws of space time. Our existence is a paradox, we are effectivley our own reason for existing. Its also why as stated in another grimore card the vex have a hard time of calculating and simulating what we will do, this is because the vex use time as a tool for providing infinite time to perform calculations, but since we exist outside of time we have no reference point for the vex to work with, they have to infer and guess at our actions, and then calculate the one we will most likely take
We should be able to break free of the vex simulation and enter the real universe destiny takes place in outside the simulation. And thats where i think this is going, i believe that at some point in destiny we are going to escape the "matrix" as a means of getting back to the real destiny universe where we as guardians will discover that the darkness never left earth and it has been locked in a stalemate with the traveler for all these years.

So which will the guardian take the blue pill or the red pill? Bro and Morpheus have some explaining to do.

very good article though.

Aside from some grammar issues, the story is great!

My brain hurts

*mind blown* we're all just a simulation. That's just mind blowing.

That was great.
