1 RespuestaNot mad, but a bit disappointed with how people seem to react to Jackson's name. I hope they realize that he was the first people's president. He was the first time the general population chose a president instead of just the rich and well born. He's pretty much the reason why you don't need to be in the top 1% to vote. Anything racist or borderline genocidal that he did was because people wanted it. They have to realize how many southerners wanted Cherokee land if they complain about the trail of tears. He was the choice of the American people. May be kinda sad, but we just have to learn from our mistakes. Look at Jackson as a testament to American democracy.
