You did the quest that comes around on the 7th of every month?

Yeah i had collected the fusion rifles and completed the entire beggining of the questline up untill i got the fusion core and i stopped before doing the warsats. I just comoleted the warsats and reactivated the core last night and gave it to the gunsmith

Mine showed up as a mission icon on earth as a random quest.

Was it the final step for the fallen saber strike or the beggining step the first firewall?

Saber strike. It's a lvl 300 I believe. Sorry it's been awhile since I did that quest.
