Round 2 PoE is impossible
So much for easy prison of elders. I can't solo this crap it's too hard =}
Edit: for the mentally challenged let me specifics I am talking about challenge of elders

As most have said, gotta kill the corresponding flayer to drop the bosses shield to damage him. Once all 3 are dead he doesn't get a shield again.

Running anything in destiny solo is always and option but not recommended. However, when you're trying to run some that as hard as round 2 of this week's coe, your asking for a high rate of failure. Some may able to do it, but the majority will require a full team of three. Your title said it's impossible, then why have you not do it with a full team instead of trying to Rambo that shit?

Ya, once you figure out that you have to take out the corresponding Flayer to damage the boss, well, it's quite easy.

Solar warlock with solar grenades, double grenades, high disc, and the perk that increases grenades during radiance will take 75-100 percent of the cabal boss health in one shield drop. With three we killed him in 15 seconds, before the shield part ever started. Getting points during that round would be awful solo though. Good luck.

Solo this week is very challenging. Like you said, that 2nd round. I used defender Titan with Blessings. Max discipline helps too. I used left and right sides of the map. If I got overrun on one side I recovered on the opposite side. I killed all adds before taking on the Psions. If you do minimal damage to the Strategist, adds will not respawn until after all Psions are dead. Psions do not respawn. I only went on offense when adds were clear and I had a bubble ready. Phalanxes will one shot melee you. Don't let them sneak up on you. There is cover from the Boss on both sides of the map. If you are on the right side, there is a platform for cover from boss. The Psions and adds can still attack you. On the left side the boss will not enter behind the wall. But all adds and Psions will enter behind the wall. Fusions are beast against bosses. They are amazingly accurate from sniper range against bosses. If you know your fusions spread and can consistently land 5+ bolts per shot on the boss, they will melt.

It is semi-difficult with a team of three. Solo would take some thought. Depending subclass, maybe you would run around waiting for a chance to sword kill the appropriate flayer, then grenade+snipe the boss, repeat many times.

I agree that it is hard but not impossible. You got to kill the flayer that boss's shield is based off of. Like for example the boss gets a solar shield so kill the solar flayer to damage the boss. I tried soloing it too.

The second is about wiping the flares quick. I found dark drinker dose this well also meaning raze lighter should kill the flares quickly also

Editado por Xim: 4/20/2016 7:18:54 AMIt's pretty easy if you have the Raze upgraded. Just communicate with your fire team. You don't have to be next to the boss to see what his element his shield is. It will display on the bottom left of you're screen. Once you killed enough adds team kill the lucky little bastard. Shoot the boss until the next reinforcements spawn in. Rinse and repeat.

3 RespuestasWow didn't know that you have to solo everything lmao. Its easy just make sure you take out that particular psion that channels energy to him with a sword( Raze Lighter wrecks them). Eventually, when all psions are down , he won't be immune anymore .

You can solo it i did it yesterday. Died 9x, but still got it done Although... It took me so long the music stopped playing and i had to kill the guy with just background noises and gunfire lol
