You obviously still can't grasp that sacrifice doesn't mean die.
He was a guardian and he knew that, a warrior of the light, by giving himself to the darkness, he sacrificed himself to them. An uneasy alliance where the hive mostly just ignore him.

He has Ascendant immortality, in exchange for a Ghost, it's more an upgrade than a sacrifice imo.

In your opinion. Don't try to tell me my thinking him making a sacrifice isn't any more or less right than you thinking he got an upgrade.
