I almost think they should. Many times me and my team have lost because we weren't as high of a light level as the other players. I know that if you are good enough you can beat them but if the teams are evenly matched in skill but one has 20 light levels more than you it's a major disadvantage. Edit: So a lot of people's arguments are "Well people would use the broken year one weapons". Well how many people do you see using year one weapons in normal crucible? Most likely not many. And most year two weapons are able to counter the year one weapons. Felwinters lie? Well, conspiracy theory is almost the same thing, and almost everybody got it. Guns like thorn? Well luckily thorn was nerfed, so it's fairly easy to counter and won't be a huge problem like it was before. The year one snipers with the high aim assists and insane fire rates? *cough* 1000 yard *cough*.
