It does not guarantee a 327+ sniper. Key phrase = "From Many Sources" It doesn't say "all sources" That could just mean Legendaries from faction rewards. Which have been higher than my combined light every single one I've gotten since the April update.

Wow that escalated quickly
Legendary and Exotic drops from many sources now attempt to drop with Attack or Defense greater than your current character light level
-
All legendary engrams I've had decrypt exotic have been at 300 light as well. But all my exotic engrams have decrypted at my current light level or higher (except for 1 or 2) so I can't really complain.
-
Yeah, all exotics I've got from legendaries have been at 300 light since the update. Guess it's just how it is now
-
Yep. I've had 2 exotics from legendary engram's. Both at 300 light. I'm at 329 now. One came from rahool. What a waste of marks.
-
Exotic engrams go based on total light lv of your character not the light kv of a single piece of gear. Ledgendaries don't follow this rule. Only ledgendaries dropped from packages do. Engrams decode like they used to.
-
10 RespuestasIf you read it goes by your light level. Not the item you have equipped in that slot. Disappointing you wasted time to write this my time to read it. And all you had to do was read.
-
1 RespuestaExotics from Legendarys don't have the same effect as exotic engram. Quit your bitching and read the patch notes.

Same, I got radiant dance machines at level 300 from a legendary engram. I didn't mind though, I needed the shard hah.

5 RespuestasLEARN TO READ THE ENTIRE PATCH NOTES: "Legendary Engrams max Light increased to 310" Legendary and exotic drops from events/activities will be higher light level, NOT engrams. Drops are not engrams.... PLEASE READ THE FULL PATCH NOTES BEFORE QUOTING IT AND SAYING IT LIED...
-
It's from a legendary engram so it doesn't go by exotic engram rules, and it's highly likely to get something higher then your overall light, not the light level of the specific slot.
-
Engrams don't count. Only actual drops.
-
Ok so they made exotic engrams from legendary's max out at 310, however exotic engrams should always be higher then ur light, not that specific item, such as if u are 320 but have a 325 helm already u may get a 323 exotic helm, but if u are 320 and have a 315 helm u may get a 323 helm, it's relative to ur light not that items light
-
Exotic engrams decrypt around your light but when a legendary turns into an exotic it's usually much lower
-
Same. Open engrams on 325, bam 300 crest. /cries in corner*
-
The fourth horseman may have been because it's based on character light level and not your specific black spindle if you get what I mean, but I have been having the same problem as you with exotics.
-
You sure? Legendary engrams have a light cap at 310. So there's that covered. But exotics will drop at the same or 1-6 light higher than item equipped. I decrypted 93 of them over the last week and none of them decrypted lower than my light.
-
I would have to agree, although I never even get past Oryx originally so my light is slight garbage because nobody wanted to help me, all of the engrams I have opened so far, which is quite a few, only three I believe have been above what I had equipped.
-
1 RespuestaLegendary Engrams decode up to 310. Exotics decode to your total current light level not the light level of the piece your decoding. So if your black spindle is 326 but your overall light level is 319 then that engram has a chance of only decoding at 320. Which it did. I don't know what level you were when you opened it but if it was higher than 320 then that seems glitched. But if you were below 320 than its working.
-
Editado por IceIllex: 4/19/2016 5:01:21 PMIkr! All the exotics that I got from legendary engrams automaticly decrypt at 300. I don't expect it to be a high light, but 300 is low and they are all dropping at 300
-
Yeah legendaries still decrypt at low levels and when they become an exotic the same thing happens :\
