Editado por DirtiestKnave61: 4/21/2016 2:15:11 PMSaw this video Some flaws that bothered me with this theory is... 1: anything in a closer radius to the rings are destroyed 2: anything in a farther radius is made uninhabitable if not destroyed To my understanding the rings just killed all life and forerunner automations replanted life, not blow up everything
plz correct me if I'm wrong ;)
-
The theory they used was that the rings employ heavy amounts of gamma radiation, which, going by what the video said, would act exactly as they described it, however th forerunners most likely used a different method entirely to wipe out all life in the galaxy as gamma radiation would have done too much damage as described in the video. Did that make sense?

*puts on an antic disposition* Cool. I always thought it was some sort of signal that targeted the nervous system, killing the host and rendering the body unusable by the flood.
As with Sgt. Johnson, though he obviously survived the damage to his system.
Oww My head hurts Something about gamma radiation reconfiguring the molecules in our atmosphere so much science
-
The energy would destroy the bonds holding together the ozone layer (O3) those oxygen molecules would then recombine with nitrogen in the atmosphere creating a nitrous oxide layer (N2O) effective converting out ozone layer into a nitrous oxide layer, so at this point the gamma radiation has killed off almost all if not all life it has come into contact with and on top of that the surface it hit is being bombarded with UV Rays from the sun (SPF 100 wouldn't even help you). Yes, I was in an honours chem class
-
Well, that's enough science for my whole life.
