First time on Destiny and...
So I played the division on the release. It was the first game of this shooter mmo style and the division really turned me off. Hesitantly I bought Destiny for the first time ever yesterday when a friend convinced me to. Was I shocked, not only did the game "feel" better but, the very first strike was such a great and challenging experince(way better than an "incursion". Even the members of the community sent me messages on xbox welcoming me to Destiny, I was surprised. The little content I completed in 2 hours on destiny was truly more enjoyable and more mechanics than any game I've recently played.

My initial thoughts were the same when I fought the first or second fallen boss that crawled out of the walls in the cosmodrome Hangar. This was awesome!

Sure when you have nearly 2000hours worth of playtime, it can become a little stale but I'm still having fun and finding things I want to do... Especially since the release of the free update ;-)

4 RespuestasMechanics? First strike was more challenging than incursion? You high bro? I can barely beat the first few missions of the division. The first strike is a huge cake walk. I doubt you even got far enough in The Division to try an incursion. You're complaining but you have to try incursions at max level... If you were so immediately turned off by it how did you hit max level? Guessing you didn't. Feels like propaganda as shit

The Division is a tactical cover RPG. You clearly prefer the action shooter genre. Just because I'm not a fan of Real Time Strategy (RTS) games, it doesn't make them bad. The same goes for your case with the Division. I like both Destiny and the Division for generally different reasons. I really like the much heavier RPG influence that the Division has, but sometimes I just want to get online and shoot shit in a more fast paced game (such as Destiny). Unfortunately both games have their shortcomings. Destiny has grown increasingly stale. This latest update did very little in rejuvenating the game. The Division on the other hand lacks content. 4 challenge modes, while actually challenging for 2 of them, gets boring pretty quickly. The Incursion is a pretty difficult challenge on challenging difficulty, but horde game modes like that that have the same exact enemies every time get boring fast. The Darkzone is mostly empty (in terms of NPCs). I find myself running around in there a lot with nothing to do because by the time we get to a boss spawn, somone else already killed it. Otherwise you just go around and go rogue against other players. However, the Division is still relatively new. That's the other problem with comparing Destiny to the Division. Destiny has been out for over 1.5 years now. Whereas the Division has only been out for for a little over a month. A better comparison would be vanilla Destiny vs the Division. And if you were around back then, which you clearly weren't, then you would know that Destiny was also very lackluster in the content department.

You'll need them in the end :D

WELCOME GAURDIAN!!!!!!!! I love the first few strikes. It took me a very very long time to beat them. Nevermind 2 hours. But I like to explore and take things slow. Just a heads up though. This forum isn't as friendly as you may have expected it to be. I would try forums like Reddit for a much friendlier crowd. If you were on ps4 I'd say add me and I'll help show you around. But I'm sure you'll find plenty of people to do so. Just wait until you get to do a raid!!! Those are fun!

A good side game you might want to grab is saint row 4, just for the sake of screwing around with superpowers for a while, if you feel like taking a quick break from destiny.

Editado por juschillin117: 4/19/2016 12:35:38 PMPay no mind to the post below mine...welcome to destiny and i hope you have a great time playing as i did (and still do)...i must warn you though...the game itself is pretty good...but the forums...well thats a different story...just keep an open mind and try not to get sucked in to the negativity of the forums...the games has its flaws (like all games) but it gets "TAKEN" (destiny pun...lol) to the 10th power on the forums..once again enjoy your destiny experience (Well now its above my post...lol)
