I've gone through a few times and in my expereince and from what I've seen in game and on these forums is people complaining about others not knowing how to do the raid but will make any excuse to not help people through so more people CAN do it. I'm sorry but you guys cant have your cake and eat it too. If you want more players who can do the raids you have to be willing to help or carry people from time to time. Dont get mad at them for not knowing how to do it while excluding them at the same time, it makes no sense.

Tryed last night But everyone kept showig up with swords And fusion rifles. No snipers no other heavys. Wtf?
-
I only get frustrated if people don't listen, or if people don't call out for help. In have enough raid completions to know what I am talking about. I really don't want to hear the super secret strategy your friend told you about if you have three raid completions between the two of you. If you come to my group, you follow my rules. You need my help, not the other way around. Also please for the love of god tell me if you're struggling. I won't laugh at you if you can't get your knight. Don't clam up and as we're killing vessel say: "I couldn't get my knight." If your joining a group you gotta listen and call out.

34 RespuestasEditado por Talathiel: 4/20/2016 3:59:37 PMIf you don't know the raid stick to the normal mode until you get the experience to finish it in a timely manner. Tried of joining a group only to spend 1 1/2 hrs on warpriest. Or better yet when one of the Titans says they know what to do in the middle for Oryx, only to NOT have the ToM because they haven't beaten the raid yet. Best line you will always hear in a fail group... "We got it this time guys." Usually leave once I start to that. Edit: If you can't be bothered to watch a 10-15 min video on the raid, ( or run normal mode ) to understand what you need to do. Then don't expect me to drag your ass through it.

Good luck Guardian.
you will need it
I'm sorry but no, maybe at one time I wouldn't mind helping newbies but after about 70plus completions or whatever it is I want a high light experienced team and to be done within an hour, not wiping 30 times at totems! When I didn't know the raid I watched youtube videos to learn the mechanics, I didn't expect experienced players to waste their time.
-
I'd be more than willing to take a group through on normal on xbox if there is enough takers.
-
Why still do the raid? What a waste of time. Sorry thats my opinion. Done the hard once and do not need to do it another time. The most stupid activity in destiny, well kf raid then. I am for helping others if they asked but I rather just play some crucible or hang out in strikes , relaxing, joking with friends and eating chips. Everybody is so into getting to max light and doing the raid because its shows skill bla bla bla. Ita just a game guys. And if somebody is new to something just explain and help him/her out. Not helping makes a bad community and eventually destroys the game.

6 RespuestasTry getting 4 289-291 through the raid
-
I fully expect to show/teach people how to do the raid if it's being run on normal mode. On hard however not a chance
-
6 RespuestasNo..it makes no sense to join a hard raid thinking you can just slide by..you will be exposed and you'll be kicked..it's that simple.

1 RespuestaI have my cake right here... and im eating it.. I won't take anyone who hadn't done the hard raid more than 10 times through it.
-
Lol at gone through a few times. Has only finished it once.
-
1 RespuestaIt is just hard when you have someone who has no idea what they are doing. Luke myself I understand the oryx challenge mode. I have never be able to do it, honestly that is why I quit do long ago.
-
I agree. I oftentimes explain and help. Sometimes, when I have time constraints, I join experienced groups. Both approaches do coexist and are only dependant upon time.
-
1 RespuestaIf you're joining a hard mode raid you should know all of the base mechanics, if you don't then you shouldn't be in a hard raid, 99% of people will happily explain the additional mechanics to the hard raids, it really isn't a big difference, but if you're joining a hard mode raid and don't know how to do anything, then you're in the wrong place, there's a reason you have to complete the raid to unlock hard mode, Bungie expects you to run normal first. We had to do the raid blind when we first run it as no one had put videos up, we had to work it all out ourselves, why can't you.

I run a clan were we help an teach people who have never done raids etc. Since I started clan about 5 months ago I've helped around 20+ people through raids an challenges. Only way to get more players is to teach an learn others
-
I'm a week 1/2 player and I've still not had an attempt (as part of a fireteam) with any of the raids. One day :)
-

2 RespuestasNobody is entitled to help another but it's very awesome when people do. That being said, I've met some real douchebags trying to do the raid. Some of the more experienced players demand perfection so if you falter, are not a required light, missing certain weapons, or tell them you have limited experience, you better get your ass ready cuz that boot is coming. I've also met some really awesome, funny, and patient people who I am gracious for. I ran relic for first time ever and I did it right and had a blast and a few laughs. That's how the raid should be. Even if you don't get it done, you should still be smiling.
-
I couldn't agree more, helping others is really helping yourself in the long run. Most of the peeps I play with and clan with are individuals Who were blown away by the fact that I took the time to help them and many of them are much better then I am now.

More than happy to help, psn is same as above, but a mic is important.

1 RespuestaSo annoying when someone hasn't watched a streamer run through it or a video on youtube first and must have a complete step by step explained to him/her. The raid has been out for several months now but still alot of guardians are kf raid virgins.
-
1 RespuestaHaven't had a single KF completion. Every single raid team I find seems to be three dudes that know each other, a random no mic, and a young kid. Every. Single. Time. This equation usually turns to boots, more randoms that haven't done it before, and me, angry. On the bright side, the smaller core groups usually end up friending me and I get partners for the nightfall but ugh.... How hard is it to watch some youtube, and maybe even open a walkthrough to have next to you just in case you get confused?

I'd help but I'm using this week as my time to attempt an oryx solo. I've so far put not much time into it, probably slightly over 3 - 5 hours... I know I can do it, I just gotta work for it. ~TheGreatFila
