Yea that's basically a shade off from zombies. Enjoy your delusions of grandeur while I kill zombie new Yorkers with a laser from the back of a drone.

No delusions. Just have spent the last 30 years reading his books and seeing movies made from them. The Division isn't based on any of his books, but is very much true to what he would have written. Sorry you don't like it. The are plenty of other games to suit your taste for futurism and fantasy.

I love division. They will add high tech lasers eventually. Reading a book doesn't mean anything either and the way you use it proves my point his name is just slapped on the box to sell copies. 30 years all those books and not a clue to show for it. Maybe you should try reading non fiction for a change squirt.

Right. This 'squirt" saw "Hunt for Red October".....Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin....the year it came out. That would be 1990....and I was in grad school at the time. The Tom Clancy brand is a guiding force for the game and speaks to the experience that the game is tyring to give the gamer: To---within the limitations of an action-RPG----to deliver as true an experience of small unit combat as possible. If that is not for you....and you need to play in a fantasy playground....then that's fine. But this game is what it is...and I don't see Massive abandoning it.

$$$ talks, just wait for them to get desperate

Some people never get that desperate. Everyone can be "bought"---if the price is high enough. But not everyone can be bought for money.
