This is absolutely infuriating.
I'm sick and tired of my teamates either leaving their characters in the game to get free loot without doing any work, or quitting prematurely for me to have to slave an activity by myself (Mainy strikes and Crucible).
Here are some changes I recommend. If you agree with them, please support this post:
1) Absolutely slaughter idle time. Black Ops 3 nailed this concept PERFECTLY. If you are gone for more than 2-3 minute, the game kicks your player. Absolutely no more then that. Also, rubberbanding controllers no longer should be a thing.
2) If you leave a quit on a losing team or leave a strike that is not half way over, you are given a first offence warning. This also includes the minute idle timer.
If you commit a second offence within a certain time stamp, you are banned from the specified ACTIVITY for a small amount of time (An hour or so) so you can "Cool off", as the message would say.
If you continue to leave matches after this second offence and temporary restriction, you will now be banned from the activity until the weekly reset.
If you continue to not heed any of the previous warnings and are a nuissance to the gaming expirience of others, your account will be locked out of the activity until notified in the future. After that, matchmaking for that activity will be lengthened as you will be attempted to be placed with guardians with low light levels and/or exhibit similar behavior.
MY FAVORITE BY FAR
A "dunce meter" is now added next to every players name on the forums and is required on all LFG sites. Depending on how many offences you comit, the meter will show others what kind player you are in the aspect of either quitting prematurely, or being idle on multiple occasions. If you manage to reach the bottom of the dunce meter, a snarky comment is now tagged to the end of their gamertag on any of these websites. Beautiful.

IMO, these consequences aren't even strict enough.

RID THIS COMMUNITY OF FILTH.
Edit:
Post below on how friendly players should be rewarded.
Maybe their Dunce meter can say:
"This Guardian is a legend"
Edit: For all the pessimists saying "I have a life, Children, etc," this system IS NOT SUPPOSED AFFECT YOU.
It's supposed to affect and apply consequences to people who are constantly interfering with the gaming expirience of others. Think of it like this-
That guy you just abandoned during that strike, what if he also has a life just like you (as hard at it is to believe). You're saying your life is more important then the one you just abandoned? That person, for your information, probably also has children, a life, and other duties to attend to. Maybe they only get an hour a day and you are wasting that precious time! At least they have their priorities straightened!
If you need to answer the Pizza guy at the door, that's cool and all. Have a child to take care of? Beautiful.
However, if this is constantly interferring with the lives of others who are just as busy as you and only have a set amount of time to play, then you should recieve the consequences for your actions.
Saying that "I have a life so I have the right to abandon the precious time of others," is Brazen.
Can't handle the time? Don't commit the crime.

1 RespuestaHow about if Bungie's report tool actually did something? Say if the two other people in the strike are constantly reporting the 3rd as inactive, just kick the other dude to orbit. No bans or anything like that, just have the report function actually do something. I realize some jerks will try to get anyone kicked but if the system checks and that player is active, then don't kick. My buddy and I were grinding heroics just to get Winters Run, we finally get it after an hour and our 3rd just sits there. We must have reported him over 100 time each and the dude didn't get kicked until after the heavy pikes so anything else is better than what we have now!
-
This is a game dude, a CASUAL game I might add. You only have one rule that makes sense and that's being kicked after 1 min for idleness. All the others are just plain daft. This isn't the premier league, get a red card and miss your next match, it's a freaking game!
-
Yeah, since you are into it, build a wall, and make afk's pay for it. Lol, JK. But yeah, they should punish afks and quiters.

Bungie wouldn't do this because to them this game is a casual game and that it's gonna stay that way, for now.

You make it sound like this community is a perfect oasis......

I don't mind most idle players as they generally return to action within a few minutes (people have things that unexpectedly come up). But I agree with the fact that there are a few that are intentionally doing it. I was doing heroics yesterday and FINALLY got the new taken Archon Priest strike to drop. And you guessed it- I had an idler. I didn't want to leave as it took forever to finally get the strike, but that little MF'r just stood there twirling with his gun in the air, the whole f'ing time. What made it worse was idiot number 2 who kept shooting/punching the idler. Needless to say I pretty much solo'd the strike...

1 RespuestaI've got 3 kids so your 30 second timer can kiss my rear. Basically you're telling me cause I leave for the max of a min or 2 to check on my kids I should be kicked??? 90% of the time I play with friends who also have lives and have to get up from time to time mid strike, no big deal to us. How bout more like 3 min timer?
-
1 Respuesta30 seconds is way too short, that pretty much means if you die and your team can't revive you you are kicked from the game, and what about in like challenge mode poe or something? We finish the first room and then I tell my team I have to use the bathroom or something, I come back 2 minutes later and I have to re join them?

8 RespuestasBattleborn has a really good system for players who quit.
-
Maybe if Bungle could manage to have more than 3 strikes or Crucible maps in rotation at any given time people wouldn't insta-quit from being forced to run the same garbage 46 times in a row. Besides which, unlike spoiled children whose parents probably bought the game for them, most of us have real lives. With distractions. Like kids who need help with things, wives who need attention (and sex), jobs, etc. All of which take precedence over "ruining the gaming experience" of some uppity tween.

I had a lazy player this morning in Poe farming. But he didn't realize that Poe uses fireteams not matchmaking. And I'm the fireteam leader. Muuhahahahaha ! (Evil laugh) 😆

5 RespuestasSigned Couldn't have said it better. Heroic strikes are unplayable if you want to use matchmaking and pvp is pretty much the same. Looks like I'll only be playing rumble when I play solo until they fix this. This should have been in the update.

Sorry, but I'll leave the SABER strike every time. I absolutely despise that strike from beginning to end and think it's incredibly unfun to play. I will do every other strike 4-5 times in a row before I'll do the SABER once.
-
1 RespuestaI feel you're pain but I think it's a sensitive topic. Sometimes people really have to leave or do something because there are more important things and who knows what could come up. Should someone get punished for some emergency? No! Absolutely not, but there are other cases where people go afk just to go afk and not do anything. I can't imagine anything happening except maybe a shorter idle time or maybe a 10 minute ban to that activity

16 RespuestasI have an idea for cheaters in Trials, 1st Offense: So, lets pretend you get reported in trials for lagswitching, if Bungie confirms it, the next time you log in, you are immediately spawned in the tower in front of the speaker. He will then walk around the tower with you discussing good morality and good sportsman ship, yes, if you walk too slow or too fast, he will patiently wait for you to catch up. After that, Shaxx will grab you and throw you into a room with a dummy and a gun with only 1 bullet but infinite ammo. He will then say "Shoot it" the dummy will die with the 1 shot, but you must reload every time, Then he says "Good, now do it again:. You will repeat this until you reach 1000 times. You are then freed of your punishment, but then, you are restricted from accessing any PvP. If you try to enter one. you will be stripped of your weapons until daily reset 2nd Offense: You will repeat the same steps as above, also you will be placed in a cheater server until weekly reset. 3rd offense: You will repeat the 1st offense steps, however, you will be in the cheater server for a month, and any and all Trials of Osiris gear and emblems and shaders will be dismantled (You cannot get the emblem or shader back from the kiosk) 4th Offense: You will permanently be in the cheater server, the character you used to do cheating will temporally be deleted. If you wish to get that character back, it will cost 50 dollars to get them back, you will also have only 6 months of the cheater server if you pay

Fine with everything except some parts of the cruicible thing. I hate getting put into a game that's halfway over on a team that should have been mercy'ed only to spawn and beat rocket after rocket or super.

Editado por Raider TCK: 4/18/2016 11:35:30 AMPlayers who consistently go AFK should be 'branded' with a terrible looking emblem and shader. The emblem of shame. The emblem will be active for one month. During this time it prevents them from matchmaking into team games. Repeated offences should result in longer branding periods.

No. Get over it

2 RespuestasThey should trow 3 afk players in one strike. And i agree with most of your points

If you ride your sparrow through a strike, then you get better gear
