This is absolutely infuriating.
I'm sick and tired of my teamates either leaving their characters in the game to get free loot without doing any work, or quitting prematurely for me to have to slave an activity by myself (Mainy strikes and Crucible).
Here are some changes I recommend. If you agree with them, please support this post:
1) Absolutely slaughter idle time. Black Ops 3 nailed this concept PERFECTLY. If you are gone for more than 2-3 minute, the game kicks your player. Absolutely no more then that. Also, rubberbanding controllers no longer should be a thing.
2) If you leave a quit on a losing team or leave a strike that is not half way over, you are given a first offence warning. This also includes the minute idle timer.
If you commit a second offence within a certain time stamp, you are banned from the specified ACTIVITY for a small amount of time (An hour or so) so you can "Cool off", as the message would say.
If you continue to leave matches after this second offence and temporary restriction, you will now be banned from the activity until the weekly reset.
If you continue to not heed any of the previous warnings and are a nuissance to the gaming expirience of others, your account will be locked out of the activity until notified in the future. After that, matchmaking for that activity will be lengthened as you will be attempted to be placed with guardians with low light levels and/or exhibit similar behavior.
MY FAVORITE BY FAR
A "dunce meter" is now added next to every players name on the forums and is required on all LFG sites. Depending on how many offences you comit, the meter will show others what kind player you are in the aspect of either quitting prematurely, or being idle on multiple occasions. If you manage to reach the bottom of the dunce meter, a snarky comment is now tagged to the end of their gamertag on any of these websites. Beautiful.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMO, these consequences aren't even strict enough.
SIGN. IF. YOU. AGREE
RID THIS COMMUNITY OF FILTH.
Edit:
Post below on how friendly players should be rewarded.
Maybe their Dunce meter can say:
"This Guardian is a legend"
Edit: For all the pessimists saying "I have a life, Children, etc," this system IS NOT SUPPOSED AFFECT YOU.
It's supposed to affect and apply consequences to people who are constantly interfering with the gaming expirience of others. Think of it like this-
That guy you just abandoned during that strike, what if he also has a life just like you (as hard at it is to believe). You're saying your life is more important then the one you just abandoned? That person, for your information, probably also has children, a life, and other duties to attend to. Maybe they only get an hour a day and you are wasting that precious time! At least they have their priorities straightened!
If you need to answer the Pizza guy at the door, that's cool and all. Have a child to take care of? Beautiful.
However, if this is constantly interferring with the lives of others who are just as busy as you and only have a set amount of time to play, then you should recieve the consequences for your actions.
Saying that "I have a life so I have the right to abandon the precious time of others," is Brazen.
Can't handle the time? Don't commit the crime.

Editado por ULiano_III: 4/19/2016 2:29:13 PMHow about this for AFK People. After 1:30 of Inactivity an Option appears in the top Right of the screen for the Active 2-5 players saying : Player XXXX Has been inactive for 1:30 Swipe Left to Kick, Swipe Right to Warn. If the 2-5 players on Fire team swipe Left on track pad that player is booted. If the majority swipes Right, a Red text Messege appears in the Middle for the AFK player and if they don't respond in 30 seconds they are kicked. Howeve, this is only allowable for Non Fire team players. So if your a Fireteam of 2 and have 1 Random on your team and your Fireteam member is afk and aince the majority of the players are on a fire team, the messege wont appear. Same for Fireteams of 3,4,5,6. Its mainly for Matchmaking and Random teams.

My first post got some attention but I like to raise a second point. If you punish people for having lives and needing to spend time away from a console. Than enjoy all the squeakers and elitists who make this game there lives.

Hoollllyyyy. Chill out dude. It's a video game all your rewards and things your farming for or wins. They mean nothing here just 0s and 1s on a screen. Breath. It's just a video game. I have seen people leave my team to the other team it sucks but oh well it's probably half and half when it corks to why they left (kid/pet/losing) and what's the big deal with strikes? I've had so many people drop. Five minutes later someone jumps in and we destroy. The only penility they should have is maybe a cool down for when you can rejoin and maybe change the rank system for pvp so it's like wow. If you do something dishing able you lose a bit of rank not s lot but enough that if you repeat this it takes you down so you can't buy am certain things or something. But seriously. Calm down

So if I get put into a PVP game with 3 minutes left with no super or heavy and down 8,000 points I should get punished for leaving?

5 RespuestasI don't care about people going idle. They have real life's aswell. What if there kid fell down the stairs or some shit The one that pisses me off is the runners who get to s check. Point without kill shit and then die to teleport you. I like to kill shit on the way to build up super and get more engrams. But no the -blam!- thinks it acceptable to just run past absolutely everything to get to the boss quicker. If you're one of those type of people. -blam!- you.

What if I need to leave this strike or crucible game, or I need to step away so I'm idle for a few minutes because something much more important is happening

14 RespuestasBut....Real Life. Kids, family, emergency, internet connection. Jesus man, get a little perspective. I never purposely go AFK, but if my child wakes up crying then I don't give a crap if it takes an extra 5 minutes to kill Rocket's McDickface. Sorry.

18 RespuestasEditado por Saint: 4/18/2016 7:44:28 AMPeople aren't sitting on the couch or bed idle, there using the washroom, making a sand which, carrying groceries, answering the pizza guy at the door, walking the dogs, checking on infants, chopping vegetables for the spouse. There doing something more important then playing a video game and maybe its nothing but unless there running into a wall they're not rubber banding or mabye their controller died. Sorry if real life events are a inconvenience for you.
not
Sounds good to me. I was in a clash match yesterday, as it was the daily, 3 minutes into the match and all 5 of my random stupid teammates had ZERO FÚCKING points! While I was the only one with ~700, being down by 2000 points.... I manned up and stayed and won the match when the thumbless scrubs left! Muahahahah

Honestly I don't get why people quit out of every strike, when I play solo in strikes literally every players leaves at the start. His game doesn't have many good strikes as is. So why bother even coming into vanguard?

4 Respuestas"Remove the cancer of this community by force" "Rid this community of filth" Dude just stop. By referring to the community as you are, you ARE the filth. Calm down and quit being so hostile, it's a game. Sometimes life takes priority over a strike and you've gotta leave your controller alone for more than 30 whole seconds.

Editado por RichGhost77: 4/18/2016 11:51:28 AMlol it doesnt bother me in the slightest. I dont even notice if ppl are afk since i always speed run any strikes, on the rare occasion i do run a few. I dont really care if ppl keep up or go afk, thats their business....
-
I think 30 seconds might be a little too strict. Some people go afk for a minute or so because they need to pee or something like that. People shouldn't have to hold in their pee just because you can't do with 1 less player for a minute or so.
-
The utter stupidity of this post is beyond belief. A Scarlet letter? Seriously? Hey here is a crazy thought, lets put the blame where it really lies. Players want the new loot, not to play the same crap they have been playing for the past six months. Isn't that the point of a ( Cough ) new update? Get over yourself hall monitor. It's an online game, which means you will have to deal with online shit. You think blops with their 1% supply drop chance of getting a weapon after paying four hundred dollars is so great, then go play it. FOCUS.
-
A 30 second timer? What about bathroom breaks, if something happens outside the game (for those of us with more responsibilities)?

1 RespuestaYou sound like a petulant child . How many times has the door rung or the wife asks you a question... The system is fine , it's matchmaking we need and the option to use it or not so you sir are my prize idiot of the week..
-
1 RespuestaSome people have lives. Suck it up, it's just a game. Imagine you are playing and your dog gets out, or your kid hurts him or herself. Or there is an emergency. The last time I checked you still get rewards when you lose.
