If they change any of that the subclass will be useless.

Why is it op?

Just to clarify. I do not, have not, probably never will agree with any of the subclass nerfs. I've just seen this argument play out about a thousand times on the forums. So here is a list of concerns I've seen nerfherders post. - the burn length is to long and removes you from the fight for an unfair amount of time - the ability to track your opponent by watching the burn damage tick through walls gives an unfair advantage* - BECAUSE THEY ARE YOU STUPID SCRUB ALL THE SWEATY TRYHARD MLG PRO STREAMERS AGREE WITH ME!!!! - the bloom is too large allowing for little skill involved in their use. - their is no way to dodge them other than shadestep - once you're tagged by one your basically one shot to any primary - whole teams of sunsingers in trials just spam the grenades and if you get hit by 2 then your dead. - the recharge is only 25 seconds so they basically keep you out of the fight the entire game Some solutions I've seen proposed - remove Viking funeral - remove dot - shrink their bloom - make it tick faster - make the ticks do x2 damage but have half of them go by - NERF EVERY STUPID WARLOCK UNTIL THE CRUTCH CLASS IS NEVER USED AGAIN BECAUSE IT TAKES NO SKILL YOU PATHETIC PLEB SCRUB NOOB! - tone down the firebolts initial impact damage - make Viking funeral only work while in radiance - make touch of flame not work with firebolts - make the combo not work in any crucible event I'm sure there are plenty more but these are the more frequently seen reasons and suggestions that I can think of off the top of my head. *I actually agree with this point and think it's more an overlooked or unintended effect that should be removed from the crucible and replaced with an aura only visible to those looking at you not on your screen like thorn that would show you're burning but not if direct eye contact can't be made.

And I just read a post that was asking for a nerf for nightstalker's super. It's like the community's favorite solution is to nerf.
