You only get a one hit shotgun kill if you aim exactly at the head at a marine with full health, shots going to the chest or feet do less damage and require like 3-4 shots to kill a full health marine with only chest/feet shots, unless you have half or lower health the shotgun is pretty balanced. A player can literally dodge shotgun blasts just by strafing or jumping around, melee can be a helpful last resort too. The rocket launcher doesn't do one hits either, most of the people who use it shoot at the ground close to the player to do damage, sure a perfect shot to the player would be more devastating but it is veeeeeeery easy to dodge those unless you are very close to them. The vortex rifle is a sniper rifle of course it will be one hut kill if it hits you in the head, the coolest thing about it tho is that you see where the user is, run around the map and find him/her because there's no radar in the game, and the more closer you get to a vortex rifle user the harder it will be for them to kill you. The gauss cannon is a power weapon, of course it will be one hit kill, just like the rocket launcher in halo, the hammer of dawn in gears of war and so on. [/quote] It lasts long because after killing it any player can get close enough to pick it up and continue with the rest of the seconds it still has available, hell after death if the demon was on your team than the pickup gets locked so the enemy team has a chance to pick it up faster, if they take too long then the ally can grab it. If you think destiny's balanced your mistaken just cause lag switching isn't working in your favor doesn't mean a beta is broken its a beta for testing before final release get over yourself and stick to destiny where the rest of the 14 yr olds cry for a nerf on something that kills them.

You have to take into consideration the Armour system. Collect armour, and it will save you somewhat. Destiny has better balance? Shotguns destroy people more so in destiny. Rockets are a one hit in Destiny. They are not in DOOM. I've played a lot of it in the alpha and both Betas. Some stuff give more of an advantage, yes. But that Is how multiplayer games work. It takes more skill to use it, as apparent with this post and other experiences that I have heard from fellow DOOM beta players. And do not forget that this is still a beta. Stuff was different in the closed Alpha. Stuff was even different in the closed Beta. But if you do not like it, then just do not play it. But hey, DOOM is not for everyone Your opinion is your opinion. But I have noticed, however, that you are disliking many games that many would consider good. So maybe it is less of the game, and more of the player that is affecting this kind of stuff. I would suggest you look into games you are interested in before buying/downloading them.
