Yeah you'll die a lot and you won't be able to handle it at times but keep going. You'll get better. And when you use the summon signs make sure you only summon the red and purple ones. The white ones are invaders :)

Let the flames guide thee

Oh man am I praising the sun hard these days, I suck real bad but for some reason I can't stop playing. I have nightmares of the "You Died" screen now

...onto the Asylum and Taurus Demons, I hope.

1 RespuestaUse death as a learning experience. Don't feel like you're making no progress if you die... Think of progress within each fight, not over multiple fights. So if you get to the same guy and he kills you but you did more damage than last time, that is progress... Keep it up and you'll kill him! Hope that makes sense. Also, do some research into weapon upgrades and damage scaling. It is super important when making your build effective.

6 RespuestasI'm a fellow noob considering taking the plunge myself. How do you like it so far?

Check physical resistance on your shield. You always want a shield with 100% phys. res. because otherwise you'll take damage even then you block. Keep your equip load under 70% because otherwise you will "fat roll"

Learn how to read the enemies
-
Get used to dying. I know it feels like everyone says this but dying is part of the game. Rinse and repeat

Im also a noob, beat two bosses so far.

Slow and steady beats the game. Patience is the only qualification you need. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The game isn't as difficult as some make ot seem. It jist tests your patience.

2 RespuestasI've never played a DS game either, complete noob. How are you finding it?
-
Read the starter guide that comes with it, seriously it's incredibly spot on and explains all the fundamental mechanics of the series.
-
A shield that blocks 100% physical damage is a good start. Don't worry about dying, it's gonna happen a lot. Having a tough time with a boss? Summon someone to help. Learn from your mistakes, and you'll do fine.

1 RespuestaDon't be afraid just to run through enemies.
-
It mostly just takes a while to figure out the mechanics, since most of it isn't explained

I did too, but I have played Bloodborne
